Race 8 - # 5 Tule Fog (Final Odds 3.50) - "B" Selection
Race 9 - # 8 Mesa Sky (3.70) - "B" Selection
Race 10 - # 1 Aquaphobia (2.20*) - "A" Selection
Race 11 - # 6 Insubordination (1.60*) - "A" Selection
Hindsight being 20-20, Aquaphobia and Insubordination were easy enough winners while running true to form that either or both could have been big ticket singles; but doesn't it always feel that way when a Post Time Favorite / "A" Selection crosses under the wire first? On the other hand, Mesa Sky was one that I had on the bubble between a "B" and a "C" due to the class rise off a close win; needless to say, I'm glad that I found room for him on the big ticket.
For the record, here's the $0.50 Will Pay for the other runner to which I would have cashed in the nightcap:
# 8 Jerry's Thunder (2.20) - $178.00 Finish: 5th
But that's what might have been. What actually came to be was a correct Late Pick Four sequence of 5 / 8 / 1 / 6 which paid $174.20 for a fifty cent wager. That makes for a profit of $120.20 on my initial $54.00 investment, or approximate odds of 2.23-1.
I hope you all had it with me. May God bless us as we spend our winnings.
Onto the next race!
Peace and Love,
Jimbo
