As you can see from the above, no real surprises in the sequence, with two thirds of the contests going to the Post Time Favorite, and all six winners paying under eight dollars.
For the record, here are the $0.20 Will Pays for the other three runners to which I would have collected in the nightcap:

That makes for a profit of $5.16 over my initial investment of $52; or approximate odds of 0.10-1. Which certainly isn't much; but it is profit; and as my close personal friend Sully likes to say, no one ever went broke cashing tickets.

7/30/17 Sacramento Gold Rush Pick Six - Preview
It's the final Sunday of July, meaning that it is also the final day of the thoroughbred meet at the California State Fair in Sacramento. Now keep in mind that, even though this is the final day of the meet, there is no mandatory payout today for the jackpot pool. The jackpot will carryover to Santa Rosa, the next stop on the fair circuit; provided, of course, that is doesn't get scooped on Sunday. [EDIT - THIS IS INCORRECT - While the Jackpot Pick Six Pool (which reached $22,085 at the close of Sunday's racing) does carryover, it does NOT carryover to Santa Rosa. Rather, the carryover will be added to the pool when racing moves to The Humbolt County Fair (Ferndale). The Santa Rosa (Sonoma County) meet is separate from the other California Authority of Racing Fairs (CARF), which are being run this year as a single meet. I was able to get my big ticket single home in Race 5, and the leg in which I hit the "ALL" button (Race 8) saw the entrant that was the fourth longest shot on the board (in a field of five) get the head bob over the Post Time Favorite, # 2 Black Sona (1.60*). I even got non-Favorite "A" Selections home in two other legs. So I must have cleaned up today; right?
Well, no. The public saw something in Golden Bubbles that I had not, betting the class dropping filly down from her Morning Line of 5-2 to the Post Time Favoritism odds of 8-5; and, unfortunately for me, the public was right. In retrospect, using my 20-20 hindsight, I perhaps should have found room for Golden Bubbles on my big ticket. As for Kern Ridge; well, when a runner like Kern Ridge beats you, there's little to say other than:

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Gold Rush Pick Six sequence of 2 / 4 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 5 were non-existent. Nobody picked six on Saturday. Those who picked five out of six were rewarded with a payout of $71.06 for their twenty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

And so we come to the final weekend in July, as well as the final weekend for racing this year in the state capitol. As the Jackpot Pick Six pool has passed the $10k mark, I think this is a good time for me to jump in. So with that let's get to it, as I take a run at The Gold Rush Pick Six at Sacramento.
RACE 4 - (F) Md $8k - Eight and a Half Furlongs Dirt

So this one could be a real chaos race; and if your budget can stand it, you may want to give serious consideration to punching the "ALL" button.

While I still hold out hope that this could be the luckiest day of my life, budgetary constraints must be respected. 7/23/17 Sacramento Late Pick Four - Results

And that neck was the difference between me cashing or trashing Sunday, as the other three winners in the sequence were all to be found on my big ticket.

Sticking with the final four at the California State Fair to close out the weekend, as I decided to give The Gold Rush Pick Six a little more time to grow. So with that let's get to it, as I take another run at The Late Pick Four at Sacramento.

Love You Too is a first time starter who really hasn't looked all the special; but against the experienced runners in this field, she may not have to be. The "C" Selections are the rest of the field, because this looks to be a pretty mediocre bunch, which means that anything can happen.

Rainbow North has demonstrated a steadily improving form in each of his last few races. Bay Area could move up with the change in surface.
