* # 7 Maximum Security (4.50) crossed under the wire first in Race 12 but was disqualified and placed 17th.
Needless to say, the big story is that, for the first time ever, the winner of the Kentucky Derby was disqualified for interference during the running of the race. I have my own opinion on the matter; an opinion which is obviously biased by my wagers apart from my Pick Four play, which had gone belly up in the second leg. But as with any sporting event, the only opinions that matter are those of the officials; and regardless of what anyone may think about how they may have ruled, once that "Official" sign lights up, that's all she wrote.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Kentucky Derby Pick Four sequence of 3 / 7 / 12 / 20 were rewarded with a payout of $11,325.65 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
