Race 1 - # 7 Rossi Reserve (Final Odds 4.30) - "C" Selection
Race 2 - # 4 Echo Zulu (1.10*) - "A" Selection
Race 3 - The Hollywood Prevue Stakes - # 1 Shared Belief (1.50) - "A" Selection
Race 4 - # 3 Ricspretentiousgal (1.10*) - "A" Selection
Race 5 - # 5 Anita Marie (3.40) - "C" Selection
Normally when we hit on all legs but one on one or more of our tickets we bemoan our bad fortune; but the fact is that today we had a lot of good fortune that allowed us to still be alive going into the last leg of the sequence. We really weren't that fond of Rossi Reserve, and nearly left her totally off the ticket (incidentally, congrats to Trainer Javier Sierra for breaking a losing streak on synthetic surfaces that had extended beyond twenty-five contests); we won an extremely tight photo in Race 2 where the only point in the entire race that Echo Zulu was ahead was at the wire; and we won another tight photo with Ricspretentiousgal in Race 4. So we truly have nothing to complain about today as far as luck goes, as we got more action for our money than we actually deserved. As far as the bottom line goes, the Net Loss on our play is $72.00.
Oh well; onto the next race.
For the record, the fifty cent Will Pays for the two horses we were alive to in the final leg were $288.65 for # 4 Tribal Peace (3.20) and $352.10 for # 8 Tribal Dress (3.10*). As for the actual payout, those who played the correct Pick Five sequence of 7 / 4 / 1 / 3 / 5 were rewarded with a return of $339.75 for their half dollar wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
Peace and Love,
Jimbo
