There's a word for when you hit the "ALL" button in a contest, as I did in Saturday's second leg, just to see the even-money Favorite get under the wire first; a word which I'll refrain from using here. Anyway, there's no guarantee that freeing up those slots that I wasted in the second leg would have allowed me to make room on the big ticket for Mine N Yours, winner of the third leg; as Mine N Yours had finished behind others in Race 7 in his prior start, and two starts back failed to graduate over this main track against cheaper stock. So no matter how you slice it, the bottom line is that Saturday was a day for me to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 7 / 5 / 6 / 6 were rewarded with a payout of $197.45 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
