We covered half the field in the second leg of today's Pick Four sequence; unfortunately, it was the wrong half. We were smart enough to not think too highly of the chances of Morning Line and Post Time Favorite # 8 Midnight Hawk (1.20*), but we weren't very smart in the choice of horses with which we attempted to beat him, as all our selections in Race 7 finished well behind Midnight Hawk, who made a late move to take the Show, two lengths back of the winner, and a length and a half behind Place horse # 4 Chief Lion (37.30). So for the second day in a row, despite holding three Aces, we completely whiff on one of the legs, turning all our tickets into trash.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 10 / 3 / 3 / 4 were rewarded with a payout of $123.20 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
