Race 9 - # 12 Lucky Dolly (3.20) - "A" Selection
Lucky Dolly actually crossed the wire second in the nightcap, but got her number put up when the stewards ruled that first place finisher # 9 Jill Madden (5.80) did the more egregious bumping between the two in the stretch. Of course, as far as our play was concerned the result of the stewards' inquiry was moot; as we completely whiffed on the second leg, having no part whatsoever of any of the top three finishers in that contest.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 12 / 6 / 7 / 12 were rewarded with a payout of $571.50 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
