The disqualification in the opening leg in no way changes my bottom line, as a clean win by Alliford Bay still leaves me with all the winners in my play, but not all the winners on any one ticket. The big disappointment was, of course, the failure of my big ticket single, # 1 Broken Up (2.00*) to reach the line first in the third leg, as he took the Place, over two lengths back of the winner.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 4 / 4 / 4 / 1 were rewarded with a payout of $1,156.15 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
