Needless to say, when you totally whiff on three out of five races, it was not a good day. There was very little suspense either, as we were knocked out in the opening leg when our "A" Selection in Race 1, # 2 Dynamite Ride (2.10*), could only make up seven of the eight lengths that he spotted the winner after the first quarter. At least we can console ourselves with the fact that we pocketed the exact same amount of money that we would have had we just put the whole sixty bucks on # 7 Finnegans Wake (2.20) to win The Eddie Read.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Five sequence of 1 / 6 / 7 / 2 / 7 were rewarded with a payout of $943.35 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
