We were correct to be suspicious of the ability of # 4 Kentuckian (0.40*) to get the distance in The Los Alamitos Derby; but unfortunately not suspicious enough to elevate Gimme Da Lute from a "B" Selection to an "A". And while having everyone covered in the finale was one of the kindest things we've done for our blood pressure in quite some time, we could have substantially cut the cost of our play by punching in just our four "A" Selections in that leg.
For the record, here are the $0.50 Will Pays for the other runners to which we were alive in the finale:

But that's what might have been. The actual winning Pick Four sequence of 4 / 8 / 2 / 1 paid $187.15 for a fifty cent wager, making for approximate odds of 9-4 on our $57 outlay. Which, for the record, is just fine by me, as that is significantly more than we would have collected had we just put the whole amount on our lone single, Xingontothebone, to Win (not to mention being a lot more than we would have collected had Xingontothebone, or any of our other selections, lost).
