6/27/20 Pleasanton Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 2 Indian Dancer (Final Odds 1.40*) - "A" Selection
Race 7 - # 3 Known (3.40) - "B" Selection
Race 8 - # 6 Mulhima (Ire) (1.30*) - "B" Selection
Race 9 - # 8 Sunny Spot (3.70) - "A" Selection

Mulhima (Ire) made folly of my concern in the preview that she might have trouble with the Fast dirt track, crossing under the wire a half length in front of # 2 Breakfast Ball (5.30) in the third leg.  A better reading on that contest by me could have made for a much cheaper play.  On the other hand, it was good to see that the highest paying winner in the sequence was an "A" Selection; such results are always welcome.  So overall I managed to make a series of good prognostications; thus making Saturday a day to collect instead of contribute.

For the record, here are the $0.50 Will Pays for the other two runners to which I would have cashed in the nightcap:

# 7 Monsajem Pervade (3.20) - $101.60 Finish: 4th
# 9 Mad Luther (2.40*) - $80.75 Finish: 2nd

But that's what might have been.  What actually came to be was a correct Late Pick Four sequence of  2 / 3 / 6 / 8  which paid $124.30 for a fifty cent wager.  That makes for a profit of $61.80 on my initial $62.50 investment; or approximate odds of 0.99-1.

I hope you all had it with me.  May God bless us as we spend our winnings.

Onto the next race!

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/27/20 Pleasanton Late Pick Four - Preview

"For the first half of your life, people tell you what you should do; for the second half, they tell you what you should have done." - Richard J. Needham

As can be read in much more detail here, while the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the cancellation of the Alameda County Fair, there will be live horse racing this summer at the Pleasanton fairgrounds.  The meet, which began on June 19, is scheduled to run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through July 26.  So with that let's get to it, as I take a run at The Late Pick Four at Pleasanton.

RACE 6 - (F) Clm $6.25k - Eight and a Third Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 2 Indian Dancer (Morning Line 5-2)

B’s

# 3 She Began Again (ML 5-1)
# 4 Crimson Cloud (ML 9-2)

C's

# 6 Missionelle (ML 5-1)
# 7 Lizzy's Inthegame (ML 15-1)

Scratch # 1 Miss Indefatigable (ML 3-1) and # 5 C I M Sweet (ML 6-1)

Indian Dancer looks to be quickest here, especially with the scratches of Miss Indefatigable and C I M Sweet.  The scratch of Miss Indefatigable also means that Indian Dancer inherits the rail, which should be good for the cause.

She Began Again and Crimson Cloud are both prior winners over this track.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 7 - Md $12.5k - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Lord Vader (ML 3-1)

B's

# 3 Known (ML 5-1)
# 5 Look At My Hooves (ML 8-1)
# 9 Hula King (ML 9-2)

C's

# 1 Lono (ML 20-1)
# 6 Live a Good Life (ML 4-1)
# 7 Swift Channel (ML 10-1)

# 10 Mulzoff (ML 20-1)

Scratch # 2 Gregs City Zip (ML 20-1) and # 8 Olympic Silver (ML 6-1)

Lord Vader and Hula King filled out the bottom two rungs of the Trifecta, both less than a length from the winner, at this class level earlier this month at Golden Gate Fields.  Known, who was the Post Time Favorite in that contest, completed the Superfecta.

Look At My Hooves, making his 2020 debut, took the Show against more expensive stock two starts back.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 8 - (F) Alw 50000s N2X - Eight and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 5 Augure (ML 7-2)

B’s

# 3 Willing to Burn (ML 5-2)
# 6 Mulhima (Ire) (ML 2-1)

C's

# 1 Billy'sgotasingle (ML 15-1)
# 2 Breakfast Ball (ML 9-2)
# 4 Jaimi James (ML 12-1)
# 7 Callmejessiejames (ML 8-1)

Note for future reference that this contest is for runners which have not won two races in their career; with one exception: one win for $20k or less will not be considered.  For the record, Billy'sgotasingle, Breakfast Ball, and Willing to Burn have only been to the Winner's Circle once apiece.  The rest of the field has two Wins each.

First things first: here's hoping that Track Announcer Chris Griffin doesn't get tripped up with the presence of Jaimi James and Callmejessiejames in the same field.

Augure may have needed that last race, and Augure's breeding suggests that she should do well on real dirt.  Willing to Burn has taken the Place at this class level in each of her last two starts.

Mulhima (Ire) has finished in the money in each of her last two starts at this class level; but both of those starts were on the turf, and it is a concern that Mulhima was never less than a dozen lengths behind the winner at the wire in any of her four prior starts on a Fast dirt track.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 9 - Clm $3.2k N1Y - Eight and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 8 Sunny Spot (ML 5-1)

B’s

# 7 Monsajem Pervade (ML 5-2)
# 9 Mad Luther (ML 3-1)

C's

# 1 Kid Arcade (ML 15-1)
# 2 Aigle (ML 10-1)
# 3 Papa Pegosa (ML 15-1)
# 4 Dynamite Ride (ML 8-1)

# 6 Munnycantbuymelove (ML 20-1)

Scratch # 5 The Ref (ML 4-1)

This contest is for runners three year olds and upward that have not won a race in 2020, excluding Maiden races, and Claiming and Starter contests for $2.5k or less.

Sunny Spot showed good early speed against classier competition last time out.  Sunny Spot is also making his second start for Trainer Reid France, who tends to do well with such.

Monsajem Pervade has finished in the Trifecta in more than half of his nine career starts on a Fast dirt track.  Mad Luther won by daylight the last time that he competed on real dirt.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 2 with 4 with 5 with 8 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 2,3,4 with 3,4,5,9 with 3,5,6 with 7,8,9 $54.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 6,7 with 4 with 5 with 8 $1.00
$0.50 P4: 2 with 1,6,7,10 with 5 with 8 $2.00
$0.50 P4: 2 with 4 with 1,2,4,7 with 8 $2.00
$0.50 P4: 2 with 4 with 5 with 1,2,3,4,6 $2.50

Total: $62.50

Post Time for Race 6 is 8:15 EDT / 5:15 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/20/20 Belmont Park Belmont Stakes Pick Four - Results

Race 7 - # 12 Speightstown Gal (Final Odds 4.60) - "C" Selection
Race 8 - The Acorn - # 1 Gamine (0.70*) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - The Jaipur - # 2 Oleksandra (Aus) (2.25*) - "B" Selection
Race 10 - The Belmont - # 8 Tiz the Law (0.80*) - "A" Selection

Difficult to decide which is most frustrating: using more than half the field in the opening leg on the big ticket and still missing the winner (not to mention the Place finisher); not making either Gamine or Tiz the Law a big ticket single; or deciding at the last moment to drop Oleksandra (Aus) from an "A" Selection to a "B" Selection.  Regardless of which miscalculation was the most maddening, making multiple mistakes when playing a wager that can be unforgiving of just one error pretty much guarantees that it will be a day where one contributes, instead of collects.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Belmont Stakes Pick Four sequence of  12 / 1 / 2 / 8  were rewarded with a payout of $70.12 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/20/20 Belmont Park Belmont Stakes Pick Four - Preview

"History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon."  - Napoleon Bonaparte

And so we arrive at horse racing's Triple Crown; at least, 2020's version of the Triple Crown.  But while things are different this year, they are not (as so many seem to be reporting) unique.

Like nearly everyone's 2020 income, the distance of the Belmont Stakes has been reduced; specifically from a mile and a half to a mile and an eighth.  But this nine furlong distance is the same distance at which the Belmont Stakes was run twice previously, in 1893 and 1894.  Also note that, while this is not the Triple Crown order that we are used to, this will not be the first time that the Belmont Stakes has been run prior to the Kentucky Derby.  Indeed, there were eight Belmont Stakes run prior to the Kentucky Derby even coming into existence.

Anyway, the most important thing to take away from all this is that horse racing's Triple Crown is still the Triple Crown; and neither the distance nor the date in any way diminishes the luster from any one of its jewels.  So with that let's get to it, as I take a run at The Pick Four ending with The Test of Champions at beautiful Belmont Park.

RACE 7 - (F) [S] ALW N1X - Six Furlongs Inner Turf

A's

# 4 Strongerthanuknow (Morning Line 4-1)

B's

# 3 Single Verse (ML 8-1)
# 5 Winifred J (ML 6-1)
# 8 My Sassy Sarah (ML 5-2)
# 13 Ava K's Girl (ML 10-1)
# 14 Ancient Brown (ML 8-1)

C's

# 1 Mz Seb Pat (ML 20-1)
# 2 Anydayisherday (ML 50-1)

# 10 Light in the Sky (ML 8-1)
# 11 Canarsie Angel (ML 12-1)

# 12 Speightstown Gal (ML 8-1)

Scratch # 6 Noble Jewel (ML 8-1); # 7 Tradeable (ML 30-1); # 9 Crater Rim (ML 30-1); along with the two Main Track Onlies, # 15 Overtime Olivia (ML 12-1) and # 16 Bustin Scones (ML 9-2)

Strongerthanuknow graduated by open lengths last time out at today's distance over this turf course, and is trained by Jorge Duarte, Jr, who tends to do well when placing his last out Maiden winners.  Single Verse joins the barn of Trainer Rob Atras, who tends to do well with his new arrivals.

Winifred J has won previously over this turf course, and Winifred J could be the one leading the field early.  Noble Jewel won her debut over this turf course, and Noble Jewel could move up with the cutback in distance.

My Sassy Sarah could move up with the drop down in class.  Ava K's Girl could improve with the return to sprinting.  Ancient Brown took the Show at this class level last time out.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 8 - (F) The Acorn (Grade 1) - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A's

# 1 Gamine (ML 1-1)

B's

# 5 Glass Ceiling (ML 20-1)

C's

# 2 Lucrezia (ML 9-2)
# 3 Water White (ML 10-1)
# 4 Casual (ML 3-1)
# 6 Pleasant Orb (ML 20-1)
# 7 Perfect Alibi (ML 5-1)

Gamine, trained by Bob Baffert, is a perfect two-for-two for her career; and Gamine could benefit from the reduction in real estate.  Glass Ceiling, victorious in each of her last two starts, might be the speed of the speed in this field.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 9 - The Jaipur (Grade 1) - Six Furlongs Inner Turf

A's

# 4 Pure Sensation (ML 5-2)

B's

# 2 Oleksandra (Aus) (ML 7-2)
# 5 Stubbins (ML 3-1)
# 6 Hidden Scroll (ML 8-1)

C's

# 1 Kanthaka (ML 10-1)
# 3 Texas Wedge (ML 4-1)
# 7 White Flag (ML 8-1)
# 8 Lonhtwist (ML 50-1)

Pure Sensation, making his 2020 debut, looks classiest here.  Oleksandra (Aus) is a mare taking on the males; but not for the first time, as Oleksandra has defeated open company in the past.  The only concern here is if Oleksandra will have enough pace to close into.

Stubbins, Show finisher last time out in the Grade 3 Daytona, can win from anywhere on the track.  Hidden Scroll will be giving the turf another try, having stumbled at the start in his grass debut last time out.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 10 - The Belmont (Grade 1) - Nine Furlongs Dirt

A's

# 8 Tiz the Law (ML 6-5)

B's

# 1 Tap It to Win (ML 6-1)
# 2 Sole Volante (ML 9-2)

C's

# 3 Max Player (ML 15-1)
# 4 Modernist (ML 15-1)
# 5 Farmington Road (ML 15-1)
# 6 Fore Left (ML 30-1)
# 7 Jungle Runner (ML 50-1)
# 9 Dr Post (ML 5-1)
# 10 Pneumatic (ML 8-1)

Tiz the Law, winner of four of his five career starts, including the Grade 1 Champagne over this main track last year, could be an easy victor here if he can duplicate either of his last two efforts at Gulfstream Park.  Tap It to Win could be speed on the rail; while Sole Volante could be the one running best late.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 4 with 1 with 4 with 8 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 3,4,5,8,13,14 with 1,5 with 2,4,5,6 with 1,2,8 $72.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 1,2,10,11,12 with 1 with 4 with 8 $2.50
$0.50 P4: 4 with 2,3,4,6,7 with 4 with 8 $2.50
$0.50 P4: 4 with 1 with 1,3,7,8 with 8 $2.00
$0.50 P4: 4 with 1 with 4 with 3,4,5,6,7,9,10 $3.50

Total: $83.50

Post Time for Race 7 is 3:39 EDT / 12:39 PDT.  Good luck to all.

6/13/20 Golden Gate Fields Late Pick Four - Results

Race 8 - # 1 Never Be Enough (GB) (Final Odds 2.80) - "B" Selection
Race 9 - # 5 Descartes (2.80) - "B" Selection
Race 10 - # 8 Roman Rush (15.90) - "C" Selection
Race 11 - # 4 Arch Anthem (11.30) - "C" Selection

Saturday's sequence started well and ended...not so well.  Not much to say about it beyond that; other than to point out that the second half winners were, needless to say, deserving of more consideration than they received from me, and from the betting public.  Roman Rush had shown good early speed against classier competition his last time out; while Arch Anthem had a recent in the money finish against more expensive stock.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of  1 / 5 / 8 / 4  were rewarded with a payout of $1,824.95 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/13/20 Golden Gate Fields Late Pick Four - Preview

"Every single moment of your life you must choose from a number of alternatives.
What you choose determines where you will end up." - Shall Sinha

Saturday's card at Santa Anita features a pair of Listed Stakes: the $100k Thor's Echo (Race 6) and the $75k Angels Flight (Race 8).  Unfortunately, those two races only drew five starters each.

Five each.

The total number of runners entered in Saturday's Late Pick Four sequence at Santa Anita is twenty-four.  Quite frankly, there's just no fun in handicapping a Late Pick Four sequence that has only twenty-four entrants.  So for that reason I've decided to turn my attention upstate, and take a run at The Late Pick Four at The Bay's Best Bet.

RACE 8 - (F) Clm $40k - Eight Furlongs Synthetic

A’s

# 5 Qafilah (Ire) (Morning Line 9-5)

B’s

# 1 Never Be Enough (GB) (ML 5-2)

C's

# 2 Reginella (ML 4-1)
# 3 Lasting Light (ML 15-1)
# 4 Blazing Beauty (ML 12-1)
# 6 Creative Romance (ML 10-1)
# 7 Mybluebell (Fr) (ML 6-1)

# 8 Northwest Factor (ML 15-1)

Qafilah (Ire) and Never Be Enough (Ire) filled out the bottom two slots of the Trifecta at this class level last time out.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 9 - [S] MSW - Five Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 10 Auburn Streak (ML 20-1)

B's

# 1 Runkerry (ML 6-1)
# 3 Insaniamania (ML 9-2)
# 5 Descartes (ML 5-2)
# 9 Beaudacious (ML 3-1)

C's

# 2 Galopin Gourmet (ML 20-1)
# 4 Bona Fortuna (ML 8-1)
# 6 Sargent Lenzi (ML 15-1)
# 7 Dubronsky (ML 8-1)
# 8 Wire to Wire Tigah (ML 20-1)

Scratch the Also Eligibles; # 11 Malakai Moxie (ML 2-1) and # 12 Betito (ML 3-1)

Auburn Streak and Betito both grabbed the early lead in their respect debuts last time out before running out of gas prior to reaching the Finish Line.  To be honest, I'm not really seeing why one would be 20-1 on the Morning Line while the other is 3-1; especially since Auburn Streak was facing open company, while Betito was competing against Cal breds.  Anyway, since Betito didn't draw in off the Also Eligible list we'll never know the betting public would have sorted out the two runners; but, all things considered, I really like Auburn Streak's chances here.

Runkerry has taken the Show at this class level in each of his last two starts.  Insaniamania took the Show at this class level in his debut two starts back.

Descartes doesn't really look quick enough for this short a distance; but the breeding suggests that Descartes should run just fine in sprints; so perhaps it's just a matter of getting mind and body on the same page.

Beaudacious ran well in his debut last time out once he figured out that there was a race going on and he was in it.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 10 - Clm $12.5k N2X - Six Furlongs Synthetic

A’s

# 2 Drinkin and Dialin (ML 3-1)

B’s

# 3 Diction (ML 6-1)
# 6 Reverend Al (ML 9-2)

C's

# 1 Winter Fog (ML 15-1)
# 4 Sayin Grace (ML 7-2)
# 5 Fuzzy Dolphin (ML 15-1)
# 8 Roman Rush (ML 10-1)
# 9 Punaluu (ML 15-1)

Scratch # 7 Sizzlin Jamie (ML 4-1)

Drinkin and Dialin took the Show against classier competition last time, and Drinkin and Dialin can be expected to improve going second off the extended layoff.  Diction fits quite well at this class level.

Reverend Al took the Place at this class level last time out; though it does seem that Reverend Al settles for too many minor awards.  Sizzlin Jamie could move up with the (long overdue) drop in class.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 11 - Clm $6.25k - Nine Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 7 Lifeline (ML 2-1)

B’s

# 5 Mo Bob (Ire) (ML 9-2)
# 6 When Jesus Walked (ML 50-1)
# 9 Jimmy D (ML 4-1)

C's

# 1 Rockandahardplace (ML 10-1)
# 2 Iz Invincible (ML 6-1)
# 3 Sooner Better (ML 15-1)
# 4 Arch Anthem (ML 8-1)

# 8 Big Sky Logan (ML 10-1)
# 10 Kid Arcade (ML 20-1)

If I was in a more courageous mood I would make Lifeline a single here, as Lifeline was victorious at this class level last last time out, and Trainer Andy Mathis tends to do well when attempting to get his winners in the claiming ranks to do it again.  But I tend to be a little cautious regarding claimers who aren't moved up the class ladder after a Win; so I'm going to spread a bit here.

Mo Bob (Ire) could move up with the drop in class.  When Jesus Walked showed some nice early foot last time out; perhaps a sign that When Jesus Walked is ready to rise up.

Jimmy D moves to the barn of Trainer Jonathan Wong, and thus can be expected to improve.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 5 with 10 with 2 with 7 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 1,5 with 1,3,5,9,10 with 2,3,6 with 5,6,7,9 $60.00

$0.50 P4: 5 with 2,4,6,7,8 with 2 with 7 $2.50
$0.50 P4: 5 with 10 with 1,4,5,8,9 with 7 $2.50
$0.50 P4: 5 with 10 with 2 with 1,2,3,4,8,10 $3.00

6/6/20 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Results

Race 8 - The Santa Anita Derby - # 6 Honor A. P. (Final Odds 2.20) - "B" Selection
Race 9 - The Cinema - # 7 Hariboux (GB) (0.80*) - "A" Selection
Race 10 - The Hollywood Gold Cup - # 5 Improbable (1.30*) - "C" Selection
Race 11 - # 4 Silk From Heaven (9.30) - "B" Selection

So I was correct not to single # 7 Authentic (0.50*) in the Santa Anita Derby; and I feel justified in going "ALL" in the nightcap, as the victor there paid over $20 to Win.  But I said in the preview that if Improbable beats me, he beats me.  Well, he beat me; proving himself to be much the best in the Hollywood Gold Cup, and in the process making Saturday a day for me to contribute instead of collect.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of  6 / 7 / 5 / 4  were rewarded with a payout of $98.95 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/6/20 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Preview

“Adaptability is about the powerful difference between adapting to cope and adapting to win.” - Max McKeown

Once upon a time, Saturday was scheduled to be a big race day, featuring a Grade 1 contest for talented three year old runners.  And then 2020 happened.  Despite all that's going on in the world this year, Saturday is still scheduled to be a big race day featuring a Grade 1 contest for talented three year old runners; albeit on the opposite coast than was originally planned.  So with that let's get to it, as I take another run at The Late Pick Four at The Great Race Place.

RACE 8 - The Santa Anita Derby (Grade 1) - Nine Furlongs Dirt

A's

# 7 Authentic (Morning Line 4-5)

B's

# 6 Honor A. P. (ML 9-5)

C's

# 1 Friar's Road (ML 20-1)
# 2 Rushie (ML 8-1)
# 3 Shooters Shoot (ML 8-1)

# 4 Anneau d'Or (ML 15-1)
# 5 Azul Coast (ML 15-1)

My initial inclination was to single the Bob Baffert trained Authentic in this leg, as Authentic is coming off an open lengths victory over Place finisher Honor A. P. in the Grade 2 San Felipe.  However, based upon comments by Jockey Mike Smith stating that Honor A. P. was not 100% for the San Felipe, as well as how greenly Authentic ran in the stretch while winning that contest, I decided to go two deep in this leg, while using all others as backup "C" Selections.

RACE 9 - The Cinema $150k - Nine Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 7 Hariboux (GB) (ML 8-5)

B's

# 3 K P All Systems Go (ML 9-5)

C's

# 1 Heywoods Beach (ML 6-1)
# 5 Dominant Soul (ML 20-1)
# 6 Liar Liar (Ire) (ML 4-1)

Scratch # 2 Club Aspen (ML 6-1) and # 4 Constitutionaffair (ML 30-1)

Hariboux (GB) was victorious in the $100k Pasadena over this turf course back in February.  K P All Systems Go enters this contest having won each of his last two races, including one at Saturday's distance.  K P All Systems Go could also be the one running best late.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 10 - The Hollywood Gold Cup (Grade 1) - Ten Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 2 Midcourt (ML 2-1)
# 3 Higher Power (ML 9-5)

B's

None

C's

# 1 Parsimony (ML 15-1)
# 4 Brown Storm (Chi) (ML 12-1)
# 5 Improbable (ML 2-1)
# 6 Tenfold (ML 6-1)

First things first: It's nice to see this event again being called the Hollywood Gold Cup.  As to how I'm playing this leg, I went back and forth as to who should be my top pick for this contest before conceding that I could not choose between Midcourt and Higher Power.  My personal opinion is that Higher Power is the superior athlete of the two.  But Higher Power typically needs a race when coming off a layoff.  Conversely, Midcourt will be running with blinkers off; and I'm not a big fan of major equipment changes for runners entered in a Grade 1 event.

While I could not decide between Midcourt and Higher Power, I have few concerns about leaving Improbable off the main ticket.  Yes, Improbable can beat me here.  But that's the problem with Improbable; he so often looks like he can win, but instead he disappoints.  So I'll be using Improbable as a backup "C" Selection, along with the rest of the field.

RACE 11 - (F) [S] OC 20k/N1X - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 3 Li'l Grazen (ML 7-2)

B’s

# 1 Baby Boo (ML 20-1)
# 2 Wishful (ML 8-1)
# 4 Silk From Heaven (ML 6-1)
# 5 Florentine Diamond (ML 12-1)
# 6 Time for Ebby (ML 4-1)

# 7 Homehome (ML 6-1)
# 8 Takethediamondlane (ML 5-1)
# 9 Dim Lights (ML 4-1)

C's

None

Were I so inclined, I'm sure that I could narrow this one down to where I was using only five or six runners for this leg.  But considering that a third of this field disappointed as the Post Time Favorite their last time out, I think it's fair to say that this is a group that cannot be counted on to run to form.  So it's everybody into the pool for this leg, as I go "ALL" in on the big ticket.
