6/26/21 Pleasanton Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 6 Time to Zoom (Final Odds 9.20) - "A" Selection
Race 7 - # 4 Blood Red Moon (7.20) - via DQ* - "B" Selection
Race 8 - The She's A Tiger - # 5 Miss Stormy D (0.50*) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - # 1 My Sunshine (1.70*) - "A" Selection

* In Race 7, "C" Selection # 5 Awesome Dude (4.40) crossed under the wire first by a nose; but Awesome Dude was disqualified and placed 2nd for bumping "B" Selection # 4 Blood Red Moon (0.50*) at the top of the stretch and, in a unanimous ruling, costing Blood Red Moon a better placing.

There are few ways better to begin a sequence than to get home an "A" Selection that pays twenty dollars to Win.  And there's certainly nothing wrong with continuing a sequence by having your "B" Selection get put up over your "C" Selection by DQ after losing the photo by a nose (even though I still would have cashed, as I did get my "A" Selections home in each of the other three legs).  So give credit where you will; a little talent, a little luck, a little help from the good Lord above; the bottom line is that Saturday was a day for me to collect instead of contribute.

For the record, here are the $0.50 Will Pays for the other three runners to which I would have cashed in the nightcap:

# 2 One Eyed Robin (5.20) - $728.20 Finish: 4th
# 3 Known (4.90) - $438.00 Finish: 6th
# 6 Desert Dude (2.60) - $327.80 Finish: 3rd

But that's what might have been.  What actually came to be was a correct Late Pick Four sequence of  6 / 4 / 5 / 1  which paid $315.25 for a fifty cent wager.  That makes for a profit of $271.75 on my initial $43.50 investment; or approximate odds of 6.25-1.

I hope you all had it with me.  May God bless us as we spend our winnings.

Onto the next race!

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/26/21 Pleasanton Late Pick Four - Preview

“Success seems to be connected with action.  Successful people keep moving.  They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.” - Conrad Hilton

It's recently come to my attention that Google has been deleting certain posts from this blog; most recently my post detailing the results of last Saturday's Late Pick Four at Santa Anita.  I was advised that the posts were in violation of "community guidelines;" though I know not which community guidelines, as Google did not say.  So, I submitted a request to have the posts reinstated; and they were.  Yay!

But then the posts were deleted again by Google; again, with no explanation as to why, other than because they violated "community guidelines."  Perhaps the community has grown tired of reading about me trashing my tickets instead of cashing them?  Determined to find out, I wrote to Google's Blogger support.  As of this writing, I have received no reply.

Needless to say, I don't write blog posts just to have someone else delete them.  Also needless to say, I don't contact help and support just to be ignored.  So expect sometime in the coming days for this blog to have a new address.

So with that out of the way we can turn now to the more important subject of horse racing in Northern California, where Saturday's featured race is the $75k She's A Tiger, a two turn route for fillies and mares.  I'll be taking a look at that contest below, as I take a run at The Late Pick Four at Pleasanton.

RACE 6 - Clm $8k N2L - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 6 Time to Zoom (Morning Line 10-1)

B’s

# 5 Unusual Mischief (ML 15-1)
# 7 Lastbesthope (ML 15-1)

C's

# 2 Juggles (ML 7-2)
# 3 Runaway Kristin (ML 3-1)
# 4 Gregs City Zip (ML 9-2)

Scratch # 1 Theluteismine (ML 8-5)

The scratch of the 8-5 Morning Line Favorite has certainly changed the complexion of this contest.  Time to Zoom is young enough and lightly raced enough that improvement is likely.  Time to Zoom is also out of a Closing Argument mare, so Time to Zoom may do well in his first try on real dirt.

Unusual Mischief ran well in his one prior try on dirt.  Lastbesthope is by Haynesfield, winner of the 2010 Suburban and 2010 Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont Park; so it's fair to presume that Lastbesthope has solid dirt breeding.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 7 - Clm $16k N2L - Eight and a Third Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 7 Single Barrel (ML 7-2)

B’s

# 1 Big City Bane (ML 5-1)
# 4 Blood Red Moon (ML 20-1)

C's

# 2 Roaring Tiger (ML 2-1)
# 3 I Will Yeah (Ire) (ML 6-1)
# 5 Awesome Dude (ML 8-1)
# 6 Balius (ML 3-1)

Single Barrel has run well in the past over this dirt track, and Single Barrel could improve going second off the layoff. Big City Bane took the Place at this approximate class level last time out, albeit on the turf.

Blood Red Moon took the Show at this approximate class level last time out, albeit on the synthetic.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 8 - (F) The She's A Tiger $75k - Eight and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 5 Miss Stormy D (ML 5-2)

B's

# 3 Clockstrikestwelve (ML 3-1)

C's

# 1 Tiz Fake News (ML 10-1)
# 2 Time Voyage (Ire) (ML 6-1)
# 7 Blue Diva (ML 6-1)

Scratch # 4 Northwest Factor (ML 7-2) and # 6 Wise Rachel (ML 6-1)

Multiple Graded Stakes Placed Miss Stormy D looks classiest here.  Clockstrikestwelve has won in the past off a freshening.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 9 - Clm $4k B - Eight and a Third Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 My Sunshine (ML 15-1)

B's

# 2 One Eyed Robin (ML 7-2)
# 3 Known (ML 10-1)
# 6 Desert Dude (ML 8-1)

C's

# 4 Little John (ML 4-1)
# 5 Southeast Asia (ML 9-2)
# 7 Aigle (ML 8-1)

Scratch # 8 Journey to Run (ML 5-2)

This contest is restricted to runners which have either:

1) Not won a race since April 1; OR
2) Which have never won four races.

So as long as an entrant has fewer than four career Wins, then they're eligible to run in this race.  If a runner has four career Wins or more, then none of those Wins could have come after March 31, 2021.  For the record Southeast Asia is the only runner in this field with more than three career victories.

So, like the first leg, this contest sees the scratch of the Morning Line Favorite.  My Sunshine is a reclaim by Trainer Reid France, for whom My Sunshine ran quite well earlier this year.  One Eyed Robin, a winner off the layoff back in May, could rebound off his most recent effort.

Known and Desert Dude are both prior winners over this dirt track.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 6 with 7 with 5 with 1 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 5,6,7 with 1,4,7 with 3,5 with 1,2,3,6 $36.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 2,3,4 with 7 with 5 with 1 $1.50
$0.50 P4: 6 with 2,3,5,6 with 5 with 1 $2.00
$0.50 P4: 6 with 7 with 1,2,7 with 1 $1.50
$0.50 P4: 6 with 7 with 5 with 4,5,7 $1.50

Total: $43.50

Post Time for Race 6 is 8:15 EDT / 5:15 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/19/21 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Results

Race 8 - # 1 Howbeit (Final Odds 2.60*) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - The Snow Chief - # 7 Jimmy Blue Jeans (15.70) - "C" Selection
Race 10 - The Melair - # 3 Fi Fi Pharoah (2.00) - "B" Selection & "C" Selection*
Race 11 - The San Juan Capistrano - # 4 Acclimate (2.00) - "B" Selection

* # 7 Misty Cat, a "C" Selection, was a late scratch from Race 10; I therefore received Post Time Favorite Fi Fi Pharoah in her place.

Both "A" Selection # 2 None Above the Law (1.00*) and "B" Selection # 3 Ferrariano (12.20) were about a neck too late in getting to Jimmy Blue Jeans in Saturday's running of the Snow Chief; and that neck was the difference between me cashing and contributing, as Jimmy Blue Jeans was the only winner in the sequence not to be found on my main ticket.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of  1 / 7 / 3,7 / 4  were rewarded with a payout of $535.25 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/19/21 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Preview

“If you dare to struggle, you dare to win.  If you dare not struggle, then damn it, you don’t deserve to win.” - Fred Hampton

It's closing weekend for the Santa Anita meet, and in accordance with tradition the Grade 3 San Juan Capistrano, run over the entirety of the turf course, is Saturday's featured race.  I'll be taking a look at that contest below, as I take a run at The Late Pick Four at The Great Race Place.

RACE 8 - OC 40k/N1X - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 Howbeit (Morning Line  4-1)

B’s

# 4 Palace Coup (ML 5-1)
# 7 Ka'nah (ML 3-1)
# 8 Stay Happy (ML 15-1)

C's

# 2 Established (ML 7-2)
# 3 Littlebitamedal (ML 6-1)
# 5 Whisky My God (ML 20-1)
# 6 Ginobili (ML 12-1)
# 9 Wipe the Slate (ML 6-1)

Howbeit has taken the Place at this class level in each of his last two starts.  Palace Coup, Show finisher at this class level in each of his last two starts, could move up with the cutback in distance.  Ka'nah could improve with the return to the main track.

Stay Happy goes first off the claim for Trainer Kristin Mulhall, who tends to do well with such.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 9 - [S] The Snow Chief $150k - Nine Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 2 None Above the Law (ML 9-5)

B's

# 3 Ferrariano (ML 4-1)
# 4 Big Talker (ML 4-1)

C's

# 1 Found My Ball (ML 7-2)
# 5 Que Sera Sir Ralph (ML 50-1)
# 6 Ingest (ML 15-1)
# 7 Jimmy Blue Jeans (ML 15-1)
# 8 Cargo (ML 8-1)
# 9 Play Chicken (ML 12-1)

None Above the Law should probably be a big ticket single in this leg; but because None Above the Law is trying nine furlongs for the first time, I thought it best to spread a bit here.

Ferrariano raced above his conditions last time out, breaking his maiden against winners at odds of 25-1.  Ferrariano won't be that nice of a price this go-round, but Ferrariano certainly deserves consideration here.

Big Talker has won previously at today's distance.  Big Talker is also a candidate to improve going second off the layoff.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 10 - (F) [S] The Melair $150k - Eight and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 Pawnee (ML 5-1)

B's

# 3 Fi Fi Pharoah (ML 5-1)
# 6 Eddie's New Dream (ML 3-1)

C's

# 2 Mucha Woman (ML 10-1)
# 4 Smoothlikebuttah (ML 12-1)
# 5 I'm So Anna (ML 4-1)
# 7 Misty Cat (ML 12-1)
# 8 Omg It's Jessica (ML 5-1)

Pawnee tends to run well over this main track, and Pawnee has won previously off a layoff.  Fi Fi Pharoah was victorious last time out in her first route race; perhaps Fi Fi Pharoah wanted two turns all along.

Eddie's New Dream could improve stretching out for the first time.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 11 - The San Juan Capistrano (Grade 3) - Fourteen Furlongs Turf

A's

# 2 Red King (ML 5-2)

B's

# 4 Acclimate (ML 9-5)
# 6 Astronaut (ML 8-1)

C's

# 1 Lure Him In (ML 8-1)
# 3 Ward 'n Jerry (ML 5-2)
# 5 Pillar Mountain (Ire) (ML 6-1)

Red King and Acclimate are both prior winners of this event; Red King last year, and Acclimate in 2019.  Look for Acclimate to try to win it on the front end, while Red King will attempt to pick up the pieces late.

Astronaut hasn't finished out of the Exacta since joining the barn of Trainer John Shirreffs, and Astronaut looks like he can run all day.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 1 with 2 with 1 with 2 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 1,4,7,8 with 2,3,4 with 1,3,6 with 2,4,6 $54.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 2,3,5,6,9 with 2 with 1 with 2 $2.50
$0.50 P4: 1 with 1,5,6,7,8,9 with 1 with 2 $3.00
$0.50 P4: 1 with 2 with 2,4,5,7,8 with 2 $2.50
$0.50 P4: 1 with 2 with 1 with 1,3,5 $1.50

Total: $64.50

Post Time for Race 8 is 7:50 EDT / 4:50 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/12/21 Golden Gate Fields Late Pick Four - Results

Race 7 - # 3 Lolo Paniolo (Final Odds 10.70) - "C" Selection
Race 8 - # 6 Alvaaro (1.00*) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - The Albany - # 2 Give Me the Lute (2.30) - "B" Selection
Race 10 - # 10 This Is the One (3.30) - "B" Selection

Positives from Saturday's play included having the wherewithal to not single # 3 Brandothebartender (1.60*) in the $50k Albany Stakes.  I also nearly got longshot and "B" Selection # 2 Munn She's Pretty (19.50) home in the nightcap, as Munn She's Pretty had the lead in the stretch before having to settle for the Place behind fellow "B" Selection This Is the One.  But as welcome as the positives were, they could not overcome the negative of not having Lolo Paniolo on the big ticket, thus making Saturday a day for me to contribute instead of collect.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of  3 / 6 / 2 / 10  were rewarded with a payout of $209.95 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/12/21 Golden Gate Fields Late Pick Four - Preview

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.  Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” - Helen Keller

The Albany, a five furlong turf sprint, is the featured race on Saturday's card in Northern California.  I'll be taking a look at that contest below, as I take another run at The Late Pick Four at The Bay's Best Bet.

RACE 7 - Clm $12.5k - Eight and a Half Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 1 Lord Wimborne (Ire) (Morning Line 5-2)

B’s

# 5 Harvest a Storm (ML 6-1)
# 7 Many Roses (ML 3-1)

C's

# 3 Lolo Paniolo (ML 6-1)
# 6 Ecologist (ML 20-1)
# 8 Combat Zone (ML 10-1)
# 9 Agent Zero (ML 10-1)

Scratch # 2 Mo Bob (Ire) (ML 5-1) and # 4 Hydrogen (ML 15-1)

Lord Wimborne (Ire) and Many Roses are both trained by Jonathan Wong.  Look for Many Roses to be prominent early, while Lord Wimborne (Ire) projects to be the one running best late.

Harvest a Storm ran out of gas early last time out on the main track while disappointing as the Post Time Favorite; perhaps Harvest a Storm just needed that race off the layoff.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 8 - Clm $20k N2X - Eight Furlongs Synthetic

A’s

# 6 Alvaaro (ML 8-5)

B’s

# 3 Gee Gee Whiz (ML 30-1)
# 4 Governance (ML 3-1)

C's

# 1 Dub Town (ML 8-1)
# 2 Megameister (ML 8-1)
# 5 Sayin Grace (ML 8-1)
# 7 Boyson (ML 4-1)
# 8 Stone Groove (ML 12-1)

Alvaaro won the speed duel at this class level last time out but missed victory by just a head.  A strong case could probably be made for using Alvaaro as a big ticket single for this leg; but Alvaaro has a tendency to disappoint as the Post Time Favorite.  In addition, there is other speed in here that could get the better of Alvaaro in the early going; and Alvaaro isn't know for his ability to pass other runners.

Gee Gee Whiz, taking on winners for the first time, could be the one picking up the pieces if the early pace burns out the contenders.  Governance's visit to Los Alamitos did not go well last time out, to put it in the kindest terms.  Expect Governance, who took the Place at this class level the last time he competed over this main track, to be a part of the mix Saturday.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 9 - The Albany $50k - Five Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 3 Brandothebartender (ML 9-5)

B's

# 2 Give Me the Lute (ML 5-2)

C's

# 1 Bettor Trip Nick (ML 3-1)
# 4 Slam Dunk Sermon (ML 8-1)
# 5 Exhalting (ML 12-1)
# 6 Tap Back (ML 15-1)
# 7 Tom's Surprise (ML 8-1)
# 8 Hong Kong Cowboy (ML 50-1)

For those who note such things, Exhalting, trained by Doug O'Neill, is the only entrant in this field that is not a California bred.

Brandothebartender has shown the ability to win at virtually any distance, and appears to be the most talented runner in this field.  Give Me the Lute, making his 2021 debut, has an affinity for this turf course, having won three of his five previous tries on the Golden Gate grass.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 10 - (F) ALW N1X - Six Furlongs Synthetic

A's

# 5 Warm Summer (ML 3-1)

B's

# 1 Fairy Tale Bliss (ML 4-1)
# 2 Munn She's Pretty (ML 20-1)
# 7 Going to Shabooms (ML 7-2)
# 8 Chieftain's Lady (ML 8-1)
# 10 This Is the One (ML 6-1)

C's

# 3 Smiling Spirit (ML 20-1)
# 4 Toni Two Pocket (ML 12-1)
# 9 Dr Wysong (ML 6-1)

Scratch # 6 Square Dreamer (ML 20-1)

Warm Summer, victorious at this class level two starts ago and Show finisher last time out, appears to be in top form.  Fairy Tale Bliss got under the wire ahead of Warm Summer last time out to grab the Place; but, talented though she is, Fairy Tale Bliss seems to settle for too many minor awards.

Munn She's Pretty is trained by Jonathan Wong; and I just couldn't bring myself to leave a Jonathan Wong trained runner at 20-1 off the main ticket.  Going to Shabooms could improve with the return to one turn racing.

Chieftain's Lady had nothing in the tank last time out, justifying the move to the bench.  Chieftain's Lady fits well at this class level, and Chieftain's Lady has shown the ability to win off just works.

This Is the One finished in the Trifecta at this class level two and three starts back.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 1 with 6 with 3 with 5 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 1,5,7 with 3,4,6 with 2,3 with 1,2,5,7,8,10 $54.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 3,6,8,9 with 6 with 3 with 5 $2.00
$0.50 P4: 1 with 1,2,5,7,8 with 3 with 5 $2.50
$0.50 P4: 1 with 6 with 1,4,5,6,7,8 with 5 $3.00
$0.50 P4: 1 with 6 with 3 with 3,4,9 $1.50

Total: $64.00

Post Time for Race 7 is 7:04 EDT / 4:04 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/5/21 Belmont Park Belmont Stakes Pick Four - Results

Race 8 - The Just a Game - # 8 Althiqa (GB) (Final Odds 7.40) - "C" Selection
Race 9 - The Metropolitan - # 3 Silver State (5.70) - "C" Selection
Race 10 - The Manhattan - # 4 Domestic Spending (GB) (1.50*) - "B" Selection
Race 11 - The Belmont Stakes - # 2 Essential Quality (1.30*) - "B" Selection

There were some positives in my handicapping excursion Saturday, including leaving the Post Time Favorite in the opening leg, # 6 Pocket Square (GB) (2.50*) off my main ticket, as Pocket Square would cross under the wire fifth.  Unfortunately there just weren't enough positives, as Saturday ultimately was a day for me to contribute instead of collect.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Belmont Stakes Pick Four sequence of  8 / 3 / 4 / 2  were rewarded with a payout of $269.25 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

6/5/21 Belmont Park Belmont Stakes Pick Four - Preview

"To maintain success, stamina is more important than talent. You have to learn to be a marathon runner." - Joan Rivers

When the Belmont Stakes was run last year the winner of the Kentucky Derby was unknown, as that contest had yet to be run.  This year, on Belmont Stakes Day, the winner of the Kentucky Derby is in doubt, as Medina Spirit's failed drug tests make it quite likely that he will be disqualified.  But so much for that, at least for now, as it's time to turn our attention to the third leg of the Triple Crown, as I take a run at The All Grade 1 Pick Four ending with The Test of Champions at beautiful Belmont Park.

RACE 8 - (F) The Just a Game (Grade 1) - Eight Furlongs Widener Turf

A's

# 4 Regal Glory (Morning Line 8-1)

B's

# 1 Zofelle (Ire) (ML 8-1)
# 3 Daddy Is a Legend (ML 30-1)
# 9 Summer Romance (Ire) (ML 6-1)

C's

# 5 Always Shopping (ML 12-1)
# 6 Pocket Square (GB) (ML 5-1)
# 7 Abscond (ML 20-1)
# 8 Althiqa (GB) (ML 8-1)
# 10 Tamahere (Fr) (ML 6-1)
# 12 New York Girl (Ire) (ML 15-1)

Scratch # 2 Sweet Bye and Bye (ML 12-1) and # 11 Blowout (GB) (ML 4-1)

Regal Glory appears to be in top form entering this event.  Zofelle (Ire) could be the one running best late.  Daddy Is a Legend could move up going second off the layoff.

With the scratch of Blowout (GB), Summer Romance (Ire) projects to be the one that they'll have to catch if they want to win.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 9 - The Metropolitan Handicap (Grade 1) - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A's

# 6 Knicks Go (ML 6-5)

B's

# 1 Mischevious Alex (ML 5-2)

C's

# 2 Dr Post (ML 9-2)
# 3 Silver State (ML 7-2)
# 4 Lexitonian (ML 20-1)
# 5 By My Standards (ML 10-1)

If Knicks Go returns to the form he showed prior to the Saudi Cup, then Knicks Go will win this contest before the others even know that a race is being run.  However, should Knicks Go falter, I think that Mischevious Alex is the one most likely to get his picture taken when this event is over.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 10 - The Manhattan (Grade 1) - Ten Furlongs Inner Turf

A's

# 10 Colonel Liam (ML 5-2)

B's

# 4 Domestic Spending (GB) (ML 3-1)
# 6 Rockemperor (Ire) (ML 8-1)
# 8 Tribhuvan (Fr) (ML 8-1)

C's

# 1 City Man (ML 15-1)
# 2 Bye Bye Melvin (ML 30-1)
# 3 Masteroffoxhounds (ML 20-1)
# 5 Master Piece (Chi) (ML 6-1)
# 7 Channel Cat (ML 12-1)
# 9 Gufo (ML 5-1)

Colonel Liam and Domestic Spending (GB) dead heated last time out in the Grade 1 Turf Classic at Churchill Downs; and it would shock no one if those two were to do it again today.  I give a slight edge to Colonel Liam based upon the increased distance.

Rockemperor (Ire) has disappointed as the Post Time Favorite in four of his last five starts.  But while Rockemperor seems to settle for far too many minor awards, Rockemperor is not easily tossed, as he is far too talented to leave off the main ticket.  Tribhuvan (Fr) surprised with some early foot last time out; perhaps 2021 will be a big year for Tribhuvan.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 11 - The Belmont (Grade 1) - Twelve Furlongs Dirt

A's

# 3 Rombauer (ML 3-1)

B's

# 2 Essential Quality (ML 2-1)
# 4 Hot Rod Charlie (ML 7-2)
# 6 Known Agenda (ML 6-1)
# 7 Rock Your World (ML 9-2)

C's

# 1 Bourbonic (ML 15-1)
# 5 France Go de Ina (ML 30-1)
# 8 Overtook (ML 20-1)

Rombauer had been showing steady improvement leading up to his victory in the Preakness last time out, and there's no reason why that Rombauer shouldn't continue to improve.  Essential Quality and Hot Rod Charlie filled out the bottom two rungs of the Superfecta last time out in the Kentucky Derby, and both could benefit from the freshening of having skipped the Preakness.

If Known Agenda can find the form that he showed in winning the Florida Derby two starts back, then Known Agenda can certainly pull the upset today.  There doesn't seem to be a lot of early speed in this field; so if Rock Your World can dispose of France Go de Ina early, then Rock Your World will be tough to run down late.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 4 with 6 with 10 with 3 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries
