2/27/21 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 1 Hubris (Final Odds 6.00) - "C" Selection
Race 7 - # 9 Diva's Finale (1.80) - "B" Selection
Race 8 - The Pasadena - # 5 Rock Your World (1.10*) - "B" Selection
Race 9 - # 3 Malakai Moxie (2.30*) - "B" Selection

In his debut last time out, Hubris was poorly backed (Final Odds 30.00), and showed less than nothing, breaking twelfth in a field of twelve.  In that contest Hubris was more than a half dozen lengths back at first call; and then Hubris lost ground from there, finishing eleven lengths in back of the winner.  So if off that effort you had Hubris Saturday breaking best, and then gradually pulling away from the field, crossing under the wire a half dozen lengths in front of Place finisher # 8 El Joy (5.10), well, God bless you, because I sure didn't.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of  1 / 9 / 5 / 3  were rewarded with a payout of $134.20 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

"Don't settle for average.  Bring your best to the moment.  Then, whether it fails or succeeds, at least you know you gave all you had." - Angela Bassett

The Pasadena, a two turn turf contest for three year olds, is Saturday's featured race in Arcadia.  I'll be taking a look at that contest below, as I take another run at The Late Pick Four at The Great Race Place.

RACE 6 - Md $80k - Nine Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 9 Got Curly (Morning Line 4-1)

B's

# 5 Willy the Cobbler (ML 6-1)
# 6 Mahaamel (Ire) (ML 7-2)
# 8 El Joy (ML 4-1)

C's

# 1 Hubris (ML 8-1)
# 2 Soulong (ML 12-1)
# 3 Mount Pelliar (ML 8-1)
# 4 Compellus (ML 30-1)
# 7 Space Odessey (ML 4-1)
# 10 Papale (ML 6-1)

Got Curly drops in for a tag for the first time.  Got Curly will also be removing the hood; the last time Got Curly raced with blinkers off he took the Place against non-Claiming Maidens.

Willy the Cobbler missed graduation by just a nose last time out.  Mahaamel (Ire) drops into the Claiming ranks for the first time, as well as stretching out to a route distance; perhaps the changes will do Mahaamel good.

El Joy, sired by Kitten's Joy, has finished in the Trifecta both times that he's competed with a price tag on his head.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 7 - Md $30k - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 6 Handr'sdream (ML 6-5)

B's

# 9 Diva's Finale (ML 5-2)

C's

# 1 Cousin Eddie (ML 8-1)
# 2 Coastal King (ML 20-1)
# 3 Flactem Legacy (ML 30-1)
# 4 Big Discount (ML 6-1)
# 5 Whiskey Vision (ML 8-1)
# 7 My Only Mission (ML 15-1)
# 8 Philly Cheese (ML 15-1)

Handr'sdream goes first off the claim for Trainer Peter Miller, who tends to do well with such.  Diva's Finale is a first time starter who is a full sibling to 2017 Anoakia Stakes winner Artistic Diva.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 8 - The Pasadena $100k - Eight Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 2 Cathkin Peak (Ire) (ML 8-5)

B's

# 5 Rock Your World (ML 2-1)

C's

# 3 Red Flag (ML 3-1)
# 4 Commander Khai (ML 5-1)
# 6 Harlan Estate (ML 12-1)

Scratch # 1 Mac Daddy Too (ML 10-1)

Cathkin Peak (Ire) won the $75k Eddie Logan at today's distance over this turf course last time out.  Rock Your World was impressive enough in his debut last time out that he warrants consideration here.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 9 - Clm $16k N2L - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 2 Threearchbaymafia (ML 7-2)

B’s

# 1 Fort McHenry (ML 4-1)
# 3 Malakai Moxie (ML 5-2)
# 9 Dapper (ML 20-1)
# 10 Zorich (ML 6-1)

C's

# 4 Eskimo Roses (ML 15-1)
# 5 Hallowed Gift (ML 6-1)
# 7 Bird (ML 12-1)
# 8 Brazillian Summer (ML 12-1)

Scratch # 6 Final Rose (ML 15-1)

Threearchbaymafia took the Show at this class level last time out.  Fort McHenry could move up with the cutback in distance.  Malakai Moxie took the Place at this class level last time out; though I'm not convinced that Malakai Moxie will be able to get the early lead again today.

Dapper has run well previously at today's distance.  Zorich tends to settle for too many minor awards; but perhaps with the cutback in distance, Zorich won't have enough time to hang in the stretch.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 9 with 6 with 2 with 2 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 5,6,8,9 with 6,9 with 2,5 with 1,2,3,9,10 $40.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 1,2,3,4,7,10 with 6 with 2 with 2 $3.00
$0.50 P4: 9 with 1,2,3,4,5,7,8 with 2 with 2 $3.50
$0.50 P4: 9 with 6 with 3,4,6 with 2 $1.50
$0.50 P4: 9 with 6 with 2 with 4,5,7,8 $2.00

Total: $51.00

Post Time for Race 6 is 6:20 EST / 3:20 PST.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

2/20/21 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 3 Charlito (Final Odds 2.70) - "C" Selection
Race 7 - The Buena Vista - # 8 Charmaine's Mia (1.30*) - "C" Selection
Race 8 - # 3 Varoma (5.50) - "B" Selection
Race 9 - # 11 Jetovator (10.80) - "C" Selection

I was most definitely wrong about Charmaine's Mia making the distance Saturday; so congrats to her and her connections on winning the Grade 2 Buena Vista.  Perhaps I should have predicted that.  However, looking at the rest of the sequence, I feel that anticipating that Charlito would get away with leading the field with opening fractions of 24.22 and 49.21 in the initial leg is a bit beyond my handicapping abilities; so Saturday was probably going to be a day for me to contribute instead of collect regardless of what I did with Charmaine's Mia.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of  3 / 8 / 3 / 11  were rewarded with a payout of $792.35 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

“The harder the conflict, the greater the triumph.” - George Washington

The Grade 2 Buena Vista, a two turn turf contest for older fillies and mares, is Saturday's featured race in Arcadia.  I'll be taking a look at that event below, as I take another run at The Late Pick Four at The Great Race Place.

RACE 6 - OC 40k/N1X - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Motown Music (Morning Line  9-5)

B’s

# 5 Gray Magician (ML 3-1)

C's

# 1 Mulberry Street (ML 7-2)
# 2 Go Daddy Go (ML 5-1)
# 3 Charlito (ML 5-2)

Motown Music missed by a neck at this class level over this main track last time out.  Gray Magician is coming off a three month layoff, and is being priced to sell; typically not what you look for in a contender.  But Gray Magician can certainly win at this level if healthy; and the pair of seven furlong works at San Luis Rey suggests that Gray Magician has been well prepped to handle two turns off the bench.

Go Daddy Go missed by a neck at this class level last time out, an angle which I typically play; but I decided  to leave Go Daddy Go off my main ticket.  Go Daddy Go tends to come from well off the pace; and while his last race was at Los Alamitos, the shorter stretch at Santa Anita will work against him Saturday.  In addition, Go Daddy Go has had more than a half dozen tries at this class level without getting the job done.  Perhaps in a larger field with another speedster or two I might toss Go Daddy Go onto the main ticket; but not today, as Go Daddy Go will be a backup "C" Selection, along with the others.

RACE 7 - (F) The Buena Vista (Grade 2) - Eight Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 2 Mucho Unusual (ML 7-2)

B's

# 3 Warren's Showtime (ML 5-1)

C's

# 1 Bohemian Bourbon (ML 20-1)
# 5 Red Lark (Ire) (ML 8-1)
# 6 Sedamar (ML 8-1)
# 7 Going to Vegas (ML 6-1)
# 8 Charmaine's Mia (ML 3-1)
# 9 Sloan Garden (GB) (ML 12-1)
# 10 Heathers Grey (ML 20-1)

Scratch # 4 Nasty (ML 6-1)

Mucho Unusual has won three of her last four Graded Stakes, which not so coincidentally were her last three races over this turf course.  Warren's Showtime could be the one running best late.

Charmaine's Mia, winner of the Grade 3 Las Cienegas over this turf course last time out, certainly fits well here on class.  But I don't think Charmaine's Mia fits well at Saturday's distance of eight furlongs.  So in a move that I probably don't do often enough, I'm leaving the Morning Line Favorite off my main ticket, as Charmaine's Mia gets relegated to being a backup "C" Selection, along with the rest of the field.

RACE 8 - (F) Md $30k - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Made in Karoo (ML 5-2)

B's

# 1 Paynter's Love (ML 8-1)
# 3 Varoma (ML 3-1)
# 9 Backtoflash (ML 12-1)
# 10 Simmer Down (ML 2-1)

C's

# 2 Here Comes Ralphie (ML 12-1)
# 5 Copper Wings (ML 50-1)
# 6 Malibu Jewel (ML 12-1)
# 7 Brewed Big (ML 50-1)
# 8 Hatshepsut (ML 12-1)

Made in Karoo took the Show at this approximate class level last time out, while disappointing as the Post Time Favorite.  Paynter's Love is a first time starter for Trainer David Hofmans, who tends to do well when sending out debut runners in the Maiden Claiming ranks.

Varoma took the Show at this approximate class level the last time that she competed over a Fast dirt track.  Backtoflash took the Place at this approximate class level last time out.

Simmer Down finished several lengths in front of Made in Karoo while taking the Place at this class level last time out.  But Simmer Down was speed on the rail in that contest; and I think that drawing the furthest outside post will disadvantage Simmer Down Saturday.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 9 - ALW N1X - Six and a Half Furlongs Turf

A's

# 2 Coast of Roan (ML 4-1)

B's

# 1 Cruel Intention (ML 5-2)
# 3 Best Chance (ML 6-1)
# 8 Symphonic (ML 8-1)
# 10 Psycho Dar (ML 6-1)

C's

# 4 Fantastic Day (ML 30-1)
# 5 Golden Star Rocker (ML 30-1)
# 6 Southern Horse (Arg) (ML 6-1)
# 7 Cool as Ever (ML 20-1)
# 9 I Got No Munny (ML 15-1)
# 11 Jetovator (ML 8-1)

Coast of Roan won by daylight over this turf course last time out; the third time in five tries that Coast of Roan was victorious over this turf course.  Cruel Intention missed by just a nose at this class level last time out; though it is concerning that Cruel Intention has disappointed as the Post Time Favorite in five of his last six races.

Best Chance won an Optional Claimer by daylight over this turf course last time out.  Symphonic could improve going second off the layoff after taking the Show behind Cruel Intention last time out.

Psycho Dar has finished in the Exacta five of the eight times that he has competed over this turf course.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 4 with 2 with 4 with 2 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 4,5 with 2,3 with 1,3,4,9,10 with 1,2,3,8,10 $50.00

$0.50 P4: 4 with 1,5,6,7,8,9,10 with 4 with 2 $3.50

2/13/21 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 9 Howbeit (Final Odds 6.50) - "C" Selection
Race 7 - # 7 Clayton Delaney (3.30*) - "B" Selection
Race 8 - The Santa Monica - # 1 Merneith (9.20) - "C" Selection
Race 9 # 10 Scarto (1.90*) - "A" Selection

When you're not going well, when you single, you lose; and when you go "ALL", the Post Time Favorite wins.  Such was the case Saturday, as my main ticket single, # 4 Hard Not to Love (2.00*) could do no better than seventh in the Santa Monica; while Scarto, whom I tagged as my top pick in the nightcap, won easily in a leg where I had everyone.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of  9 / 7 / 1 / 10  were rewarded with a payout of $479.75 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

"Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning." - Robert Kiyosaki

The Grade 2 Santa Monica, a seven furlong sprint for older fillies and mares, is Saturday's featured race in Arcadia.  I'll be taking a look at that contest below, as I take another run at The Late Pick Four at The Great Race Place.

RACE 6 - Clm $32k - Five and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 7 Captain Scotty (Morning Line 5-2)

B’s

# 2 Oil Can Knight (ML 4-1)
# 10 Promise Nothing (ML 10-1)

C's

# 1 Golden Image (ML 30-1)
# 3 Single Me Out (ML 8-1)
# 4 Fratelli (ML 5-1)
# 5 Italiano (ML 4-1)
# 6 Satchel de Ritches (ML 15-1)
# 8 See Through It (ML 15-1)
# 9 Howbeit (ML 10-1)

Back on Jan 25, 2020, Captain Scotty won the Grade 2 Palos Verdes.  Twelve months later, in this year's renewal of that event (now a Grade 3) Captain Scotty, after securing the early lead, could do no better than fifth.  Between those two contests, Captain Scotty was able to secure the W at today's claiming price of $32k, as well as in a first level Optional Claimer ($40k).

Captain Scotty, at his best, should win easily here.  The problem, of course, is not knowing how close to his best Captain Scotty is right now.  Perhaps I'm being overly cautious; but in a race where it would be reasonable to single, I'm going three deep on the main ticket.

Oil Can Knight appears to be in good enough form to handle the class rise from the $25k at which he won last time out.  Promise Nothing could be the one running best late.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 7 - [S] ALW N1X - Nine Furlongs Turf

A's

# 4 Carmelita's Man (ML 4-1)

B's

# 1 Tizhotndusty (ML 6-1)
# 6 One Fast Bro (ML 5-1)
# 7 Clayton Delaney (ML 3-1)

C's

# 2 Hapi Hapi (ML 20-1)
# 3 Tropical Terror (ML 5-1)
# 5 Kakistocracy (ML 8-1)
# 8 Burning Turf (ML 6-1)
# 9 Mr. Brownstone (ML 12-1)

Carmelita's Man was a winner over this turf course at today's distance last time out.  Tizhotndusty fits well here on class; and Tizhotndusty should maintain his form with the surface switch.

Clayton Delaney and One Fast Bro filled out the bottom two rungs of the Trifecta at this class level last time out.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 8 - (F) The Santa Monica (Grade 2) - Seven Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Hard Not to Love (ML 7-2)

B's

None

C's

# 1 Merneith (ML 5-1)
# 3 Fair Maiden (ML 4-1)
# 5 Qahira (ML 4-1)
# 6 Golden Principal (ML 8-1)
# 7 Secret Keeper (ML 12-1)
# 8 Amuse (ML 8-1)
# 9 Proud Emma (ML 15-1)
# 11 Biddy Duke (ML 12-1)

Scratch # 2 Miss Stormy D (ML 20-1); # 10 Pharoah's Heart (No Line); and # 12 Bohemian Bourbon (ML 20-1).  Note that Pharoah's Heart has been entered to run in Race 2 on Sunday.

Hard Not to Love looks best here, and the return to one turn racing should be to her benefit.  Besides, if I'm going to use any who finished in the Trifecta of the Grade 1 La Brea last time out (Fair Maiden, Golden Principal, and Merneith) them I'm going to use all three; and that just won't work, budget wise.  So it's Hard Not to Love solo on the main ticket in this leg, with all others being used as backup "C" Selections.

RACE 9 - OC 62.5k/N2X - Eight Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 10 Scarto (ML 5-2)

B’s

# 1 Goalie (ML 6-1)
# 2 Encoder (ML 20-1)
# 5 Heywoods Beach (ML 6-1)
# 7 Award Winner (ML 6-1)
# 8 Indian Peak (ML 15-1)
# 9 Restiany (GB) (ML 10-1)
# 11 Taishan (ML 7-2)

C's

None

Scratch # 3 Mind the Gap (ML 6-1); # 4 Fivestar Lynch (Ire) (NL); and # 6 King Theo (ML 30-1)

Scarto is getting some class relief here after three consecutive starts against Graded Stakes company.  Note that Scarto was victorious each of the last two times that Jockey Umberto Rispoli was on his back.

And Scarto as top pick is my only strong opinion in this contest.  Quite frankly, I consider this race to be wide open; and while I could probably whittle it down to just five or six, there's just no reason to do that here.  So it's everybody into the pool, as I'm punching the "ALL" button for this leg.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing my tickets in modified Crist fashion, I get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 7 with 4 with 4 with 10 $1.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 2,7,10 with 1,4,6,7 with 4 with ALL $48.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 1,3,4,5,6,8,9 with 4 with 4 with 10 $3.50
$0.50 P4: 7 with 2,3,5,8,9 with 4 with 10 $2.50
$0.50 P4: 7 with 4 with 1,3,5,6,7,8,9,11 with 10 $4.00

Total: $59.00

Post Time for Race 6 is 6:14 EST / 3:14 PST.  Good luck to all.

2/6/21 Santa Anita Rainbow Pick Six - Results

Race 5 - # 10 Pawnee (Final Odds 8.90) - "C" Selection
Race 6 - # 2 Gregdar (10.10) - "C" Selection
Race 7 - The San Vicente - # 6 Concert Tour (0.40*) - "B" Selection
Race 8 - The Thunder Road - # 2 Hit the Road (3.10) - "C" Selection
Race 9 - # 12 Bob's Sniper (8.90) - "B" Selection
Race 10 - # 8 Agreetodisagree (3.70) - "B" Selection

In a strange sort of way, I feel as if I owe a measure of thanks to Hit the Road for his easy victory in the Thunder Road, getting under the wire in front of Place finisher (and "B" Selection) # 7 Bob and Jackie (2.20*); because had those positions been reversed, I would have had a winning Late Pick Four play on a day that I was swimming in a different pool.

As regards my actual play, I actually feel quite good about how I did (well, except the losing part); for while the main ticket only has three winners, I don't think I made any obvious errors in my selections, while I did make some correct choices in my picks (for example, not using # 9 Rustic Canyon (ML 6-1; Final Odds 16.50) in the second leg; and going only two deep in the San Vicente).  Still, the bottom line is the bottom line, and Saturday was most definitely a day for me to contribute instead of collect.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Rainbow Pick Six sequence of  10 / 2 / 6 / 2 / 12 / 8  were rewarded with a payout of $24,653.86 for their twenty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” - Robert F. Kennedy

Saturday has been designated a mandatory payout day for the Jackpot Pick Six in Arcadia; and while increasing the degree of difficulty while in the midst of a slump may not be the wisest of choices, I decided this weekend to not exercise the discipline required to pass on a pool filled with free money.  So with that let's get to it, as I take a run at The Rainbow Pick Six at The Great Race Place.

RACE 5 - (F) [S] Md $50k - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Medusa's Gaze (Morning Line 6-1)

B's

# 1 Smoothlikebuttah (ML 7-2)
# 3 Allergic to Logic (ML 4-1)
# 11 Half Hoping (ML 8-1)

C's

# 2 Miss Rebekah (ML 20-1)
# 5 Race Judicata (ML 12-1)
# 6 Big Chick (ML 15-1)
# 7 Here Comes Ralphie (ML 30-1)
# 8 Alysse (ML 30-1)
# 9 Curious Inji (ML 4-1)
# 10 Pawnee (ML 6-1)
# 12 Bandeena (ML 20-1)

Madusa's Gaze took the Place at this class level last time out, after having taken the Show at this class level two starts back.  Smoothlikebuttah drops in for a tag for the first time in her career, after having taken the Show against non-Claiming state bred Maidens in her most recent dirt start.

Allergic to Logic took the Show in her debut behind Medusa's Gaze last time out.  Half Hoping took the Place in front of Medusa's Gaze back on Boxing Day.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.

RACE 6 - ALW N1X - Nine Furlongs Turf

A's

# 6 Whisper Not (GB) (ML 9-5)

B's

None

C's

# 1 Shazier (ML 15-1)
# 2 Gregdar (ML 8-1)
# 3 Keystone Field (ML 6-1)
# 4 Offshore Affair (ML 10-1)
# 5 Three Ay Em (ML 5-1)
# 8 The Street Fighter (ML 15-1)
# 9 Rustic Canyon (ML 6-1)
# 10 Club Aspen (ML 15-1)

Scratch # 7 Gauguin (Ger) (ML 8-1)

Whisper Not (GB) took the Show in the Grade 2 Mathis Brothers Mile last time out, and looks to be much the best here.  So I'll be going solo on the big ticket this leg, with all others being used as backup "C" Selections.

RACE 7 - The San Vicente (Grade 2) - Seven Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 Freedom Fighter (ML 5-2)

B's

# 6 Concert Tour (ML 8-5)

C's

# 2 The Chosen Vron (ML 5-2)
# 4 Uncle Boogie (ML 12-1)
# 5 Found My Ball (ML 3-1)

Scratch # 3 Mr. Impossible (No Line), who has been entered to run in Race 5 Sunday

In contrast to the previous leg, I believe that a legitimate argument could be made for hitting the "ALL" button for this contest.  The Chosen Vron and Found My Ball were both easy winners last time out, albeit against state bred company.  Uncle Boogie is the only runner here to have defeated winners.  Uncle Boogie is also Graded Stakes placed.

Ultimately, however, I decided to go just two deep here, using both of the Bob Baffert trained runners.  I give a slight edge to Freedom Fighter because it looks like he's been the quicker of the the two in the AM drills.  So it's two deep here, with the other three being used as backup "C" Selections.

RACE 8 - The Thunder Road (Grade 3) - Eight Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 8 Hembree (ML 7-2)

B's

# 7 Bob and Jackie (ML 5-2)

C's

# 1 Somebeyay (ML 4-1)
# 2 Hit the Road (ML 4-1)
# 3 Restrainedvengence (ML 15-1)
# 4 Border Town (ML 6-1)
# 5 Campaign (ML 8-1)

Scratch # 6 Award Winner (ML 12-1)

Hembree enters this event after having won the Grade 2 Hernandez in his first start off the claim for Trainer Peter Miller.  Bob and Jackie took the Place in the Grade 2 San Gabriel last time out.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 9 - Clm $16k N2L - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 5 More Bubbly (ML 8-1)

B’s

# 1 Bird (ML 8-1)
# 9 Squalotoro (ML 6-1)
# 12 Bob's Sniper (ML 15-1)

C's

# 2 Turntheclocktozero (ML 10-1)
# 3 Dreamer's Reality (ML 5-1)
# 4 Prince Ricky (ML 12-1)
# 6 Zorich (ML 9-2)
# 7 Coil to Strike (ML 20-1)
# 8 Threearchbaymafia (ML 4-1)
# 10 Nonno's Polaris (ML 15-1)
# 11 Dapper (ML 15-1)

More Bubbly looked sharp while winning his debut last time out, and this looks like a good placement for him.  Bird may need a race off the eleven month layoff; but Bird fits well here on class, and the turnback in distance should be to Bird's benefit.

Squalotoro could improve going third off the layoff.  Bob's Sniper took the Place at this class level two starts back.  The backup "C" Selections are everyone else.

RACE 10 - (F) Md $50k - Six Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 2 Aadhana (ML 4-1)

B's

# 5 Varoma (ML 12-1)

Aadhana is dropping in for a tag for the first time.  Aadhana, a daughter of California Chrome, should also appreciate the move to the turf.

Varoma could improve going third off the layoff.  Golden Journey will be making her second career turf start; Trainer Richard Baltas tends to do well with such.

Agreetodisagree and Lunatic are both dropping in for a tag for the first time.  The backup "C" Selections are the rest of the field.
