9/25/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 6 What We Doing (Final Odds 21,70) - "B" Selection
Race 7 - # 2 Never Say Try (1.10*) - "B" Selection
Race 8 - # 2 Lucky J Lane (5.60) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - # 9 Warren My Boy (2.20) - "B" Selection

I'm not sure why so much of the betting public let What We Doing go off at such a high price; after all, this is the same horse that left the gate at just 2-1 under these same conditions last week, when he took the Show after a troubled trip.  But whatever the reason, I'm grateful that they did, as their oversight allowed us to collect a payout well worth having.

For the record, here are the $0.50 Will Pays for the other three runners to which we were alive in the finale:

# 2 Olimpio’s Scat Cat (9.30) - $1,322.45 Finish: 3rd
# 6 Resistanceisfutile (1.60*) - $493.40 Finish: 2nd
# 10 Silver Chrome (3.20) - $980.35 Finish: 4th

But that's what might have been.  What actually came to be was a correct Late Pick Four sequence of 6 / 2 / 2 / 9 which paid $686.15 for a fifty cent wager.  That makes for a profit of $608.65 on our $77.50 investment, or approximate odds of 7.85-1.

I hope you all had it with me.  May God bless us as we spend our winnings.

Onto the next race!

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/25/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Preview

Sunday marks the final day of the September Meet for Thoroughbreds at Los Alamitos; and that's all I have by way of introduction.  So let's just get to it, as we take another run at The Late Pick Four at Orange County's own Los Alamitos Race Course.

RACE 6 - Clm $12.5k N2L - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 Thunder Basin (Morning Line 9-5)

B’s

# 6 What We Doing (ML 8-1)
# 7 Swiss Cheese (ML 5-2)
# 8 Changing Karma (ML 4-1)

C's

None

This one should really have been labeled as N2X rather than N2L; just a little something to keep in mind down the road when viewing this contest in the Past Performances.

Thunder Basin defeated more expensive last time out.  What We Doing caught some bad luck in his trip last time out, but was still able to hold on for the Show at this class level.  Swiss Cheese defeated cheaper but unconditioned claimers last time out.  Changing Karma reunites with the jockey that was on his back for each of his last two victories.

RACE 7 - [S] OC 20k/N$Y - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Prohibition Repeal (ML 5-2)

B’s

# 2 Never Say Try (ML 2-1)
# 5 Signature Cat (ML 4-1)

C's

# 7 Odin (ML 4-1)

Prohibition Repeal won by daylight at this class level last time out.  Never Say Try, who finished well back in that contest, could improve today if he can keep from getting fried in an early speed duel.

Signature Cat goes first off the claim for Trainer Peter Miller, who tends to do well with such.  Odin appears better suited to non-dirt surfaces; but Odin's most recent effort may suggest that he's ready to move forward.

RACE 8 - OC 40k/N$Y - Eight and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 2 Lucky J Lane (ML 3-1)
# 6 Tough It Out (ML 7-2)
# 8 Pretentious (ML 12-1)

B’s

None

C's

# 3 Ten Blessings (ML 5-2)
# 4 Indygo Holiday (ML 20-1)

Lucky J Lane has been within two lengths of the winner at the wire in each of his two previous career tries on a Fast dirt track.  Tough It Out has proven competitive at the state-bred stakes level, and could improve going third off the layoff.  Pretentious took the Show at this class level the last time that he went around two turns on a Fast dirt track.

Ten Blessings, who disappointed as the Post Time Favorite at this class level last time out, will try two turns for the first time.  Indygo Holiday was victorious the only prior time that he competed over this main track.

RACE 9 - Md $20k - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 6 Resistanceisfutile (ML 5-2)

B's

# 2 Olimpio's Scat Cat (ML 4-1)
# 9 Warren My Boy (ML 3-1)
# 10 Silver Charm (ML 6-1)

C's

None

Resistanceisfutile has finished in the Trifecta at this class level in each of his last three starts.  Olimpio's Scat Cat took the Show at this class level last time out.  Warren My Boy has taken the Place at this class level in each of his last two starts.  Silver Chrome took the Show at this class level the last time that he had to go around only one turn.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 1 with 4 with 2,6,8 with 6 $3.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 1,6,7,8 with 2,4,5 with 2,6,8 with 2,6,9,10 $72.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 1 with 7 with 2,6,8 with 6 $1.50
$0.50 P4: 1 with 4 with 3,4 with 6 $1.00

Total: $77.50

Post Time for Race 6 is 7:28 EDT / 4:28 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/24/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 7 Bernin Sensation (Final Odds 0.80*) - "A" Selection
Race 7 - # 10 Tough Sunday (1.30*) - "A" Selection
Race 8 - The Los Alamitos Derby - # 7 Accelerate (0.90*) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - # 3 Money Makin Mike (2.50*) - "B" Selection

Needless to say, when you see that asterisk denoting the Post Time Favorite following the Final Odds of all four winners, you know the payout isn't going to amount to much.

For the record, here are the $0.50 Will Pays for the other four runners to which we were alive in the finale:

# 1 Cavalry (8.80) - $91.30 Finish: 6th
# 2 Regal Reign (12.00) - $169.80 Finish: 9th
# 5 He’s a Knockout (3.80) - $42.40 Finish: 5th
# 7 Star Express (2.60) - $39.40 Finish: 7th

And, of course, had He's a Knockout, our "A" Selection, crossed the wire first, we would have collected three times the above payout.

But that's what might have been.  What actually came to be was a correct Pick Four sequence of  7 / 10 / 7 / 3  which paid $42.10 for a fifty cent wager.  Since our investment was $63.00, we cash at a loss; and while that definitely beats not cashing at all, it certainly wasn’t what we had in mind when we placed our wagers.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/24/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Preview

So we come to the final Saturday of the Fairplex / Pomona / L.A. County Fair Meet at Los Alamitos, with the meet's featured race, the Grade 2 Los Alamitos Derby, headlining the card.  We'll be taking a look at that contest below, as we take another run at The Late Pick Four at Orange County's own Los Alamitos Race Course.

RACE 6 - MSW - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 7 Bernin Sensation (Morning Line 5-2)

B's

# 6 Saldamente (ML 3-1)
# 8 T. Montana (ML 8-1)

C's

# 4 Gentrified (ML 5-1)
# 5 He's All That (ML 12-1)
# 12 Sheer Flattery (ML 10-1)

Scratch # 10 Thisisourstory (No Line)

Bernin Sensation, trained by Bob Baffert, missed graduation by just a nose in his debut last time out.  Saldamente took the Place at this class level in his debut two starts back.  T. Montana flashed good early speed in his debut last time out.

Gentrified, trained by Doug O'Neill, showed late interest in his debut last time out; perhaps today he'll start running at the same time as the rest of the field.  He's All That and Sheer Flattery are first time starters whose sires (Harlan's Holiday and Flatter, respectively) produce more than their fair share of debut winners.

RACE 7 - OC 40k/N$Y - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 9 Gutsy Ruler (ML 5-1)
# 10 Tough Sunday (ML 7-2)

B’s

# 6 Midnight Officer (ML 20-1)
# 11 Pedro Cerrano (ML 11-1)

C's

# 2 Jury (ML 6-1)

Scratch # 1 Anthonysgotgame (ML 12-1) and # 5 Eltiojohnny (ML 6-1)

Gutsy Ruler and Tough Sunday have have proven themselves to be competitive at this class level.  Pedro Cerrano is undefeated in two career starts; but today will be his toughest class test.  Jury returns to action after an extended layoff for Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer.  Since Jury was a debut winner two starts back, we know that he can win off just works.

RACE 8 - The Los Alamitos Derby (Grade 2) - Nine Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 5 Semper Fortis (ML 3-1)
# 7 Accelerate (ML 2-1)

B's

None

C's

# 4 Chris and Dave (ML 20-1)
# 8 Blackjackcat (ML 5-2)

Semper Fortis and Accelerate were within a length of each other at the wire in The Shared Belief last time out.  Chris and Dave is making a big class jump up the ladder from the claiming ranks, but Chris and Dave could be find himself sitting a nice trip today behind the early leaders.  Blackjackcat looks to be on the wrong surface; but if Blackjackcat brings his turf form to the dirt, then he could be in the mix at the wire.

RACE 9 - Md $20k - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 5 He's a Knockout (ML 5-2)

B's

# 1 Cavalry (ML 5-1)
# 3 Money Makin Mike (ML 4-1)
# 7 Star Express (ML 3-1)

C's

# 2 Regal Reign (ML 8-1)

Scratch # 9 Glitter's Song (ML 20-1) and # 12 Lucky Snow (ML 20-1)

He's a Knockout didn't feel much like running last time out, and showed it by being fractious in the gate.  Prior to that contest He's a Knockout had finished in the Trifecta at this class level in each of his three starts at this class level.

Cavalry could be speed on the rail.  Money Makin Mike took the Show at this class level the last time that he competed around two turns.  Star Express has shown a steadily improving form in each of his last three starts.  Regal Reign tries two turns for the first time; her breeding suggests that he may prefer it (though his breeding also suggests that he would prefer being on the grass).

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 7 with 9,10 with 5,7 with 5 $4.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 6,7,8 with 6,9,10,11 with 5,7 with 1,3,5,7 $48.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 4,5,12 with 9,10 with 5,7 with 5 $6.00
$0.50 P4: 7 with 2 with 5,7 with 5 $1.00
$0.50 P4: 7 with 9,10 with 4,8 with 5 $2.00
$0.50 P4: 7 with 9,10 with 5,7 with 2 $2.00

Total: $63.00

Post Time for Race 6 is 7:28 EDT / 4:28 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/18/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 5 Zim N the Mailman (Final Odds 0.80*) - "A" Selection
Race 7 - # 4 Allsquare (2.50) - "B" Selection
Race 8 - The Barretts Juvenile - # 5 California Diamond (1.20) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - # 1 Iceberg Slim (4.80) - "A" Selection

As it turns out, buying the finale, while perhaps good for our blood pressure, was not the wisest move to be made; for had we stuck with just our "A" Selections on our big ticket, our reduced outlay would have moved our play into the profit column.

For the record, here are the $0.50 Will Pays for the other six runners to which we were alive in the finale:

# 2 Bic Mitchum (6.00) - $44.85 Finish: 4th
# 3 True Magic (4.40) - $44.70 Finish: 3rd
# 4 Ghost of War (41.60) - $460.15 Finish: 6th
# 5 Midnight Reveler (49.60) - $221.05 Finish: 5th
# 6 Dark Squall (18.70) - $167.80 Finish: 7th
# 7 Beantown Boys (0.60*) - $14.40 Finish: 2nd

But that's what might have been.  What actually came to be was a correct Pick Four sequence of  5 / 4 / 5 / 1  which paid $62.80 for a fifty cent wager.  Since our investment was $65.00, we cash at a loss; and while that definitely beats not cashing at all, as well as beating the paltry amount that we would have collected had Beantown Boys not decided to bounce off the rail while comfortably ahead in the stretch, it certainly wasn’t what we had in mind when we placed our wagers.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/18/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Preview

Saturday at Los Al was the Barretts Debutante; Sunday will showcase the male version, as the featured thoroughbred race in SoCal will be The Barretts Juvenile for colts and geldings (and, though not listed in the conditions, ridglings as well).  We'll be looking at that contest below, as we take another run at The Late Pick Four at Orange County's own Los Alamitos Race Course.

RACE 6 - Clm $12.5k N2X - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 5 Zim N the Mailman (ML 5-2)

B’s

# 4 What We Doing (ML 4-1)

C's

# 6 Northern Iowa (ML 4-1)

EDIT - Scratch # 2 Brother Gil (ML 2-1)

The last time, indeed the only time, that Brother Gil competed on a Fast dirt track it was under today's conditions at today's distance, and he got his picture taken when it was over.  What We Doing is actually racing above his conditions today, being as he is still eligible for N2L company; but the early interest What We Doing has shown in his most recent dirt starts suggests that he could be ready to move forward today.  Zim N the Mailman could be the one running best late.  Northern Iowa took the Place against open but unrestricted claimers two starts back.

RACE 7 - [S] (F) OC 20k/N$Y - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 2 Sidepocket Run (ML 5-2)

B’s

# 3 Chicago Angel (ML 8-1)
# 4 Allsquare (ML 2-1)
# 5 Chao Chom (ML 9-5)

C's

None

Scratch # 1 Cuddle Alert (ML 12-1) and # 6 Reckless Charm (ML 8-1)

Sidepocket Run was victorious at this class level two starts back.  The "B" Selections are everyone else, as I did not feel that any of the entrants here could be comfortably eliminated from contention.

RACE 8 - [R] The Barretts Juvenile $100k - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 2 Big League (ML 4-5)
# 5 California Diamond (ML 9-5)

B's

None

C's

None

Big League took the Place in the Grade 2 Best Pal last time out.  California Diamond won The Santa Anita Juvenile back in July.

RACE 9 - Md $30k - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 Iceberg Slim (ML 5-1)
# 3 True Magic (ML 5-1)
# 7 Beantown Boys (ML 6-5)

B's

# 2 Bic Mitchum (ML 4-1)
# 4 Ghost of War (ML 15-1)
# 5 Midnight Reveler (ML 10-1)
# 6 Dark Squall (ML 10-1)

C's

None

Beantown Boys is the only one of the seven runners in this field to have ever been the Post Time Favorite in a prior contest.  In fact, Beantown Boys is the only runner in this field to hav eever left the gate at odds lower than 10-1.  The seven runners in this field have combined for twenty-two career races.  In those twenty-two races, none of these runners has ever finished in the Trifecta.  Only Beantown Boys and Iceberg Slim have ever finished in the Superfecta.  If you have the bankroll to afford it, you really should consider hitting the "ALL" button for this contest.  EDIT - With the scratch of Brother Gil in the opening leg, we now have the bankroll to buy this race.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 5 with 2 with 2,5 with 1,3,7 $6.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 4,5 with ALL with 2,5 with ALL $56.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 6 with 2 with 2,5 with 1,3,7 $3.00

Total: $65.00

Post Time for Race 6 is 7:28 EDT / 4:28 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/17/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 1 Lindante (Final Odds 3.00) - "C" Selection
Race 7 - # 3 Wild At Heart (2.60) - "C" Selection
Race 8 - The Barretts Debutante - # 6 Bitzka (1.70) - "B" Selection
Race 9 - # 2 Girl Downstairs (2.90) - "A" Selection

In Race 7, we thought more of # 1 Perfect Pic's (0.40*) last out speed figure than Wild At Heart's class; in Race 8, we thought more of # 1 Spooky Woods' (1.40*) and # 5 Diva La Mousse's (2.50) class than Bitzka's last out speed figure.  Call it zigging when we should have zagged, or zagging when we should have zigged; either way, today was a day for us to contribute instead of collect.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of  1 / 3 / 6 / 2  were rewarded with a payout of $113.60 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/17/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Preview

Juvenile fillies are showcased in The Barretts Debutante, today's featured race on the SoCal thoroughbred scene.  We'll be taking a look at that contest below, as we take another run at The Late Pick Four at Orange County's own Los Alamitos Race Course.

RACE 6 - [S] OC 20k/N$Y - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 5 Family Code (Morning Line 3-1)

B’s

# 2 Start a Runnin (ML 9-2)
# 4 Eddie's Turn (ML 2-1)
# 6 Dr. Go (ML 7-2)

C's

# 1 Lindante (ML 4-1)
# 3 Packin Heat (ML 12-1)

Family Code has finished in the Trifecta at this approximate class level in two of his last three starts.  Family Code did not fare well in his one prior try around two turns, but I'm willing to forgive that effort, coming as it did against stakes company.

Start a Runnin missed by a neck against open $50k Claimers two starts back; and while that contest was on the grass, the fact that both of Start a Runnin's career Wins have come on the dirt suggests that his form should hold today.

Eddie's Turn goes first off the claim for Trainer Peter Miller, who tends to do well with such.  Eddie's Turn was also victorious at this class level three starts back; but that was nearly two years ago.

Dr. Go is the only entrant in this field with a Win over this track.  Lindante has proven to be competitive at this class level, but on the turf.  Lindante will need to show that he can bring his form onto the main track.  Packin Heat is on our tickets because everyone else is.

RACE 7 - (F) OC 40k/N$Y - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 Perfect Pic (ML 2-1)

B’s

None

C's

# 3 Wild At Heart (ML 5-2)
# 5 Sturdy One (ML 4-1)
# 6 Mysterious Miracle (ML 6-1)

Scratch # 4 Parasail (ML 20-1)

Perfect Pic won her debut at Del Mar last time out by the length of the stretch.  The Place horse in that contest, Breathe, has yet to finish out of the money in three career starts; while the Show horse, Untouchable U, won Race 8 here Friday.

Wild At Heart returns to competition after a six month absence, having missed last time out by just a nose at this approximate class level.  Sturdy One took the Place at this approximate class level last time out, albeit on the grass.  Mysterious Miracle disappointed as the Post Time Favorite last time out after having taken the Place at this approximate class level two starts back.

RACE 8 - (F) The Barretts Debutante $100k - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 Spooky Woods (ML 5-2)
# 5 Diva La Mousse (ML 3-1)

B's

# 2 Adorable (ML 3-1)
# 6 Bitzka (ML 8-5)

C's

None

Spooky Woods is a first time starter for Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer.  Spooky Woods has been working well over this track, though the break needed after the August 19 workout is a concern.  Diva La Mousse showed good early speed in her debut last time out for Trainer Bob Baffert.

Adorable, whose best efforts to date have been around just one turn, is the "other" Baffert.  Bitzka is the only entrant in this field to have visited the Winner's Circle, having won her debut against Maiden Claimers last time out.

RACE 9 - (F) Alw 25000s - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 2 Girl Downstairs (ML 3-1)
# 3 Margie's Minute (ML 5-2)

B’s

# 6 Kyankes (ML 9-2)
# 7 Arewehavingfunyet (ML 7-2)
# 8 Backintheacademy (ML 10-1)

C's

None

Note for future reference that there is no lifetime Win restriction for entrants in this contest, as is frequently the case in SoCal Starter Allowances.  Rather, this one is for fillies and mares that have started for a claiming price of $25k or less either this year or last, and have not won a Claiming, Starter, or Optional Claiming race in excess of $25k since.

Girl Downstairs was within a length of the winner last time against open $32k claimers, albeit on the grass.  Still, Girl Downstairs' form should stay with her, as both of her career wins have come over a Fast dirt track.  Margie's Minute has finished in the Trifecta six of the seven times that she has competed over this main track.

Kyankes goes first off the claim for Trainer Hector Palma, who tends to do well with such.  Arewehavingfunyet could be rounding up to a back number.  Backintheacademy could be the one running best late.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 5 with 1 with 1,5 with 2,3 $4.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 2,4,5,6 with 1 with 1,2,5,6 with 2,3,6,7,8 $40.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 1,3 with 1 with 1,5 with 2,3 $4.00
$0.50 P4: 5 with 3,5,6 with 1,5 with 2,3 $6.00

Total: $54.00

Post Time for Race 6 is 7:28 EDT / 4:28 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/11/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 6 Ryderroo (Final Odds 10.90) - "A" Selection
Race 7 - # 2 Toews On Ice (1,10*) - "A" Selection
Race 8 - The Beverly J. Lewis - # 2 Bendable (3.50) - "C" Selection
Race 9 - # 4 Atlantic Slew (0.90*) - "A" Selection

And, to repeat myself from yesterday, that’s why you play backup tickets.

For the record, here is the $0.50 Will Pay for the other runner to which we were alive in the finale:

# 7 U Go Gal (4.10) - $375.80 Finish: 8th

But that's what might have been.  What actually came to be was a correct Late Pick Four sequence of  6 / 2 / 2 / 4  which paid $371.05 for a fifty cent wager.  That makes for a profit of $323.05 on our $48.00 investment, or approximate odds of 6.73-1.

I hope you all had it with me.  May God bless us as we spend our winnings.

Onto the next race!

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/11/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Preview

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'" - Fred Rogers

The Beverly J. Lewis is today's featured race at Los Al, a six furlong contest for those on the distaff side.  In fact, all of the final four races today are exactly six furlongs; and we'll be looking at each of them below, as we take another run at The Late Pick Four at Orange County's own Los Alamitos Race Course.

RACE 6 - (F) Clm $16k N2L - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 3 Spiritual (Morning Line 8-5)
# 6 Ryderroo (ML 8-1)

B’s

# 1 Meadow Blossom (ML 3-1)
# 2 Papa Mambo (ML 9-5)

C's

None

Spiritual was victorious in in her only prior try over this main track.  That contest was also her debut, which shows that Spiritual is capable of winning off just works.  Ryderroo had to work the night shift here in order to graduate; but Ryderroo is the one in this field that could be running best late, and she will almost definitely be ignored by many in the wagering pools.

Meadow Blossom was in over her head last time out, and should appreciate the drop in class.  Papa Mambo is likewise dropping in class and should do well here, though I suspect Papa Mambo may be better suited to two turn racing.

RACE 7 - OC 62k/N$Y - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 2 Toews On Ice (ML 2-1)

B’s

# 1 Heir of Storm (ML 3-1)
# 4 Texas Two Step (ML 5-1)
# 5 Guy Code (ML 12-1)
# 6 Pay The Fine (ML 5-1)

C's

None

Scratch # 3 Kentuckian (ML 5-2)

Toews On Ice is a Graded Stakes winner (along with being the winner of several listed stakes) who is returning to action from a layoff of more than four months.  Toews On Ice, in his form from earlier this year, coupled with the natural maturation that you would expect from a three year old colt, should handle this field with no problem.  But it strikes me as unlikely that if Toews On Ice was still in his stakes winning form that he would be offered for sale here.  So we make Toews On Ice our "A" Selection based upon his back class, and use everyone else in this contest as our "B" Selections; because once you get past the field's top lifetime earner, anyone can win this race.

RACE 8 - (F) The Beverly J. Lewis $75k - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Enola Gray (ML 2-5)

B's

None

C's

# 1 Uptown Twirl (ML 8-1)
# 2 Bendable (ML 5-2)

Enola Gray is the best horse in this field, hands down.  But Enola Gray is trying open company for the first time; so we bow to our more cautious instincts and toss in a couple of backups, just in case.

RACE 9 - (F) Md $20k - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Atlantic Slew (ML 2-1)
# 7 U Go Girl (ML 7-2)

B's

# 1 Lea's Reward (ML 5-2)
# 8 Big Miss Steak (ML 3-1)

C's

None

Atlantic Slew took the Show against more expensive (albeit state bred) company two starts back.  This is the cheapest Atlantic Slew has been offered for sale in her career.  U Go Girl took the Place at this class level last time out.

Lea's Reward took the Show in her debut at this class level last time out.  Big Miss Steak is a first time starter for Trainer Mike Machowsky, who tends to do well when sending out debut runners with a price tag on their head.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 3,6 with 2 with 4 with 4,7 $4.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 1,2,3,6 with ALL with 4 with 1,4,7,8 $40.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 3,6 with 2 with 1,2 with 4,7 $4.00

Total: $48.00

Post Time for Race 6 is 7:28 EDT / 4:28 PDT.  Good luck to all.

9/10/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 5 Handful of Stripes (Final Odds 3.80) - "A" Selection
Race 7 - # 1 Horse Greedy (3.60) - "C" Selection
Race 8 - The E. B. Johnston - # 4 Soi Phet (0.70*) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - # 4 Woodie B Awesome (2.40) - "A" Selection

And that's why you play backup tickets.

The winning Pick Four sequence of  5 / 1 / 4 / 4  paid $112.75 for a fifty cent wager.  That makes for a profit of $66.25 on our $46.50 investment, or approximate odds of 1.42-1, which is more than we would have gotten had we just put the whole wager on our big-ticket single, Soi Phet, in the featured race.

I hope you all had it with me.  May God bless us as we spend our winnings.

Onto the next race!

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/10/16 Los Alamitos Race Course Late Pick Four - Preview

It's Opening Weekend for The "These Dates Used to Belong To The Los Angeles County Fair" Meet at Los Alamitos, with The E. B. Johnston for California breds serving as Saturday's featured race.  We'll be looking at that contest below, as we take another run at The Late Pick Four at Orange County's own Los Alamitos Race Course.

RACE 6 - MSW - Six Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 3 Ideal (Morning Line 2-1)
# 4 Lord Simba (ML 5-2)
# 5 Handful of Stripes (ML 7-2)

B's

None

C's

None

Ideal and Handful of Stripes are both returning to the non-claiming maiden ranks after each having taken the Place while running with a price tag on their head last time out.  Lord Simba is a first time starter for Trainer Bob Baffert who has been working well over this main track and seems to be well meant.

RACE 7 - OC 40k/N$Y - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 3 Celebrated Talent (ML 3-1)
# 5 Pray Hard (ML 7-2)

B’s

# 2 Overcomer (ML 6-1)
# 7 Sleepwalker (ML 4-1)

C's

# 1 Horse Greedy (ML 4-1)
# 4 Classico (ML 5-1)
# 6 Hye I'm Jack (ML 12-1)

Celebrated Talent drops in class after taking the Show against classier competition two starts back.  Pray Hard found seven furlongs to be a bridge too far last time out, and should improve with the reduction in real estate that he needs to cover.

Overcomer has been winning relatively easily against over-matched opposition.  Overcomer should be competitive at this class level.  Sleepwaker has been working well over this main track, and therefore deserves consideration despite the fact that runners for Trainer Peter Eurton tend to need a race when returning from an extended vacation.

The "C" Selections are everyone else.  This one appears to be the most contentious contest in the sequence, so it's everyone into the pool.

RACE 8 - [S] The E. B. Johnston $75k - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Soi Phet (ML 8-5)

B's

None

C's

# 1 Songforjohnmichael (ML 4-1)
# 2 Magic Mark (ML 2-1)

Scratch # 3 El Huerfano (ML 5-1)

They ran the H F Brubaker in two divisions at Del Mar last month; Soi Phet won the faster of the two; Magic Mark the other.  Songforjohnmichael may be able to pick up the pieces should Soi Phet and Magic Mark duel each other into the ground before the wire.

RACE 9 - Md $20k - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Woodie B Awesome (ML 7-2)

B's

# 2 Alston (ML 3-1)
# 6 Coach Q (ML 5-2)
# 8 Silver Chrome (ML 6-1)
# 9 Gavination (ML 5-1)

C's

None

Scratch the Also Eligibles: # 11 Money Makin Mike (ML 4-1) and # 12 Glitter's Song (ML 20-1)

Woodie B Awesome took the Place at this class level last time out.  Alston has finished in the Trifecta at this class level in four of his last five starts.  Coach Q drops sharply in class for Trainer Bob Baffert.

Silver Chrome took the Show at this class level last time out.  Gavination may be quickest early.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 3,4,5 with 3,5 with 4 with 4 $6.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 3,4,5 with 2,3,5,7 with 4 with 2,4,6,8,9 $30.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 3,4,5 with 1,4,6 with 4 with 4 $4.50
$0.50 P4: 3,4,5 with 3,5 with 1,2 with 4 $6.00

Total: $46.50

Post Time for Race 6 is 7:28 EDT / 4:28 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/5/16 Del Mar Pick Four - Results

Race 7 - # 10 St. Joe Bay (Final Odds 3.20) - "C" Selection
Race 8 - The Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf - # 13 With Honors (2.00*) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - # 8 Big Gray Rocket (0.40*) - "A" Selection
Race 10 - # 4 Lamaan (19.00) - No Selection

It may be fair to say that we tried way too hard to beat a couple of legitimate Favorites in With Honors and Big Gray Rocket, which kept us from spreading as wide as we needed to in the other two legs of the sequence.  But while the ultimate outcome was not what we were hoping for, at least we were still in the game right up through the final race.

Oh well; onto the next race.

For the record, here is the $0.50 Will Pay for the runner to which we were alive in the finale:

# 1 Fin de Semaine (5.50) - $86.40 Finish: 8th

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of  10 / 13 / 8 / 4  were rewarded with a payout of $503.25 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/5/16 Del Mar Pick Four - Preview

"Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold. But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow." - Douglas Pagels

And so we make it to Labor Day, the unofficial end of Summer, as well as being the final day of the Del Mar Summer Meet.  Juveniles occupy the field in half of the final four races on Monday's card, which includes The Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf.  We'll be looking at that contest below, as we take another run at The Pick Four at The Place Where The Turf Meets The Surf.

RACE 7 - OC 40k/N1X - Eight Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 3 Saint Dermot (Morning Line 5-2)

B’s

# 4 Prince of Arabia (ML 10-1)
# 7 Brimstoned (ML 8-1)

C's

# 5 Banze No Oeste (Brz) (ML 15-1)
# 6 Ain't Misbehaving (ML 7-2)
# 10 St. Joe Bay (ML 6-1)

Saint Dermot missed victory by just a head at this class level last time, and could benefit from having to cover less real estate today.  Prince of Arabia hit the board in each of his last two contests on the main track, both against classier competition.  Brimstoned took the Show at this class level the last time that he went around two turns on the main track.

Banze No Oeste (Brz) worked well over this main track on the 28th.  Ain't Misbehaving misses by just half a length of entering this contest with a four race winning streak, all against less company.  St. Joe Bay has proven to be competitive at this class level, but seems to settle for too many minor awards.

RACE 8 - (F) The Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf $100k - Eight Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 13 With Honors (ML 5-2)

B's

# 1 Blame It On Alphie (ML 9-2)
# 2 Auntjenn (ML 6-1)

# 5 You Missed It (ML 8-1)
# 6 Go Argento (ML 8-1)
# 11 Simmy's Temple (ML 8-1)
# 12 Lady Beware (Ire) (ML 20-1)

C's

# 4 Jami Racer (ML 15-1)

Scratch # 3 Red Livy (Ire) (ML 20-1)

With Honors and Blame It On Alphie were both winners in their respective debuts; I give the edge to With Honors as I think Blame It On Alphie will be disadvantaged by the rail draw.

Auntjenn should be forwardedly placed early.  You Missed It was less than a length behind With Honors at the wire last time out.  Go Argento was just a length behind Blame It On Alphie at the wire last time out.

Simmy's Temple showed good improvement when graduating last time out.  Lady Beward (Ire) showed good early speed while competing in her native Ireland.  Jami Racer may be able to settle into a nice stalking trip today.

RACE 9 - MSW - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 5 Bird Is the Word (ML 6-1)
# 8 Big Gray Rocket (ML 9-5)
# 9 Antioch (ML 7-2)

B's

None

C's

None

Scratch # 10 Cut (No Line) and # 11 Golden Reward (NL)

Big Gray Rocket showed some real ability last time out, once he figured out that there was a race going on and that he was in it.  Antioch and Bird Is the Word are also making their respective second career starts, and each could move forward with the experience.

RACE 10 - Alw 40000s N2L - Eight and a Half Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 1 Fin de Semaine (ML 9-2)

B’s

# 5 Bronzino (Fr) (ML 7-2)

C's

# 3 Foray (ML 5-1)
# 8 Radio Silent (ML 6-1)
# 11 Spitfire (ML 5-1)

Scratch # 13 Royalish (ML 4-1) off the Also Eligible List

Note for future reference that this one is for horses which have not won two races in their career (N2L), as the Daily Racing Form does not include that information in the running lines of their Past Performances; at least, not at the present time.

Fin de Semaine missed victory by just a length at this class level last time out, and could benefit from the added half furlong in today's contest.  Bronzino (Fr) has taken the Show each of the last three times that he has competed at today's class level on the turf.

Foray faded in the stretch in his last attempt at this class level, but may have an easier time getting the early lead today.  Radio Silent and Spitfire have both finished in the Trifecta at this class level on the dirt, and they each have the pedigree to suggest that they can carry that form onto the turf course.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 3 with 13 with 5,8,9 with 1 $3.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 3,4,7 with 1,2,5,6,11,12,13 with 5,8,9 with 1,5 $63.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 5,6,10 with 13 with 5,8,9 with 1 $4.50
$0.50 P4: 3 with 4 with 5,8,9 with 1 $1.50
$0.50 P4: 3 with 13 with 5,8,9 with 3,8,11 $4.50

Total: $76.50

Post Time for Race 7 is 8:03 EDT / 5:03 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/4/16 Del Mar Pick Four - Results

Race 7 - # 8 Gormley (Final Odds 6.70) - No Selection
Race 8 - The Del Mar Derby - # 11 Free Rose (11.90) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - # 4 Mesa Sky (21.40) - No Selection
Race 10 - # 2 The Spiral Jetter (3.90*) - "B" Selection

We used more than half the field in both Races 7 and 9, yet someone managed to miss the winner in both those legs.  Still, it wasn't all bad, as we did get home a $25.80 "A" Selection in the featured race.  But the bottom line is, well, the bottom line; and ours took a hit, as today was a day for us to contribute instead of collect.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of  8 / 11 / 4 / 2  were rewarded with a payout of $22,451.95 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/4/16 Del Mar Pick Four - Preview

Sunday's card at Del Mar contains a pair of Graded Stakes on the grass.  One, the Grade 2 John C Mabee, will go as Race 6 on the card, putting it outside out purview.  But we will be looking at the other, the Grade 2 Del Mar Derby, as we take another run at The Pick Four at The Place Where The Turf Meets The Surf.

RACE 7 - MSW - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 1 Roosevelt (Morning Line 3-1)

B's

None

C's

# 3 Big Hit (ML 7-2)
# 7 Wheresthemoneyjack (ML 20-1)
# 9 Red Kite (ML 10-1)
# 10 Troublewithatee (ML 4-1)
# 11 Bobby G (ML 4-1)

Scratch # 2 Gold Shot (ML 15-1).  Bring in # 11 Bobby G to take his place; but scratch the other three that were on the Also Eligible List: # 12 Dynamic Ruler (ML 20-1); # 13 Predict (ML 6-1); # 14 Bird Is the Word (ML 5-1)

These are juveniles, with only one experienced runner in the field: # 5 Camino de Estrella (ML 4-1).  Camino de Estrella, in my opinion, didn't show enough in his debut last time out to warrant a spot on our tickets.  So if Camino de Estrella wins today, we lose.

Roosevelt and Red Kite are the Baffert and the "other" Baffert, respectively.  Big Hit and Troublewithatee are trained by Phil D'Amato.  Wheresthemoneyjack was sired by Union Rags, whose offspring are proving to be precocious.  Bobby G is trained by Doug O'Neill.

RACE 8 - The Del Mar Derby (Grade 2) - Nine Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 11 Free Rose (ML 6-1)
# 12 Lucky Bryan (ML 9-2)

B's

# 2 Blackjackcat (ML 8-1)
# 4 Moonlight Drive (Itl) (ML 6-1)
# 8 Monster Bea (ML 5-1)

C's

# 3 Mr. Roary (ML 30-1)
# 9 Dressed in Hermes (ML 12-1)

Scratch # 6 Curlin Rules (ML 15-1) and # 16 Materialistic (ML 30-1).  Bring in # 15 Ebadan (Ire) (ML 20-1) off the Also Eligible List to take Curlin Rules' place.

Free Rose, Lucky Bryan, Moonlight Drive (Itl), and Monster Bea, in that order, filled out the Superfacta in the Grade 3 La Jolla last time out.  Blackjackcat won by daylight in a first level Allowance race last time out on this turf course, defeating, among others, next out winners Hobbits Hero and Free Rose.

Mr. Roary and Dressed in Hermes were also-rans in The La Jolla; but Mr. Roary may be able to get loose early, while Dressed in Hermes could be the one running best late.

RACE 9 - OC 40k/N1X - Five and a Half Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 3 Tough Sunday (ML 8-1)
# 7 Papa Papa Papa (ML 5-2)

B’s

# 6 Schillairess (ML 4-1)

C's

# 1 Ten Blessings (ML 4-1)
# 5 Pulmarack (ML 7-2)

Tough Sunday missed by less than a length at this class level last time out.  Papa Papa Papa moves up in class as he tries to go three-for-three during the Del Mar Summer Meet.  Schillaires won for fun each of the two prior times that he competed on the main track.

Ten Blessings returns from an extended layoff for Trainer Bob Baffert after winning his debut by daylight.  Pulmarack took the Place at this class level last time out.

RACE 10 - [S] (F) ALW N1X - Eight Furlongs Turf

A's

# 1 Kennedie Sky (ML 8-1)

B's

# 2 The Spiral Jetter (ML 7-2)
# 3 Cuddle Alert (ML 20-1)
# 4 Cordiality (ML 4-1)
# 6 X S Heat (ML 6-1)
# 8 Warm Endowment (ML 8-1)
# 11 Almost Reality (ML 5-1)

C's

# 7 Run Like the Boss (ML 12-1)

Scratch # 9 Lirica Heat (Arg) (ML 20-1)

Kennedie Sky deserves another chance at this level after the troubled trip she had last time out.  The Spiral Jetter and Cuddle Alert both acquitted themselves well in their only respective prior tries on the grass.  Cordiality, out of an Unusual Heat mare, tries the turf for the first time.

X S Heat and Warm Endowment are each trying winners for the first time.  Almost Reality may be the most talented runner in this field; but Almost Reality settles for too many minor awards.  Run Like the Boss stretches out after missing victory at this class level by just a length two starts back.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 1 with 11,12 with 3,7 with 1 $4.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 1 with 2,4,8,11,12 with 3,6,7 with 1,2,3,4,6,8,11 $52.50

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 3,7,9,10,11 with 11,12 with 3,7 with 1 $10.00
$0.50 P4: 1 with 3,9 with 3,7 with 1 $2.00
$0.50 P4: 1 with 11,12 with 1,5 with 1 $2.00
$0.50 P4: 1 with 11,12 with 3,7 with 7 $2.00

Total: $72.50

Post Time for Race 7 is 8:03 EDT / 5:03 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/3/16 Del Mar Pick Four - Results

Race 8 - # 6 Offshore (Final Odds 5.60) - "C" Selection
Race 9 - The Del Mar Debutante - # 7 Union Strike (7.70) - No Selection
Race 10 - # 10 Barhanpour (Fr) (16.80) - No Selection
Race 11 - # 8 Cause I'm Bad (15.40) - No Selection

In the preview, we wondered if we had made the right move by singling # 7 Lyrical Passage (2.60*) in the opening leg of the sequence, rather than spreading wide or hitting the "ALL" Button.  Well, despite the fact that Lyrical Passage could do no better than fourth in Race 8, I believe we made the right move; because having the winner of the first leg of the sequence on our big ticket would have done us no good, as we had no part whatsoever of any of the three subsequent winners on the card.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of  6 / 7 / 10 / 8  were rewarded with a payout of $7,693.20 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo

9/3/16 Del Mar Pick Four - Preview

And so we begin the final weekend of the meet, and with it the unofficial end of Summer.  The Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante is Saturday's featured race in Southern California; we'll be looking at that contest below, as we take another run at The Pick Four at The Place Where The Turf Meets The Surf.

RACE 8 - MSW - Eight Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 7 Lyrical Passage (Morning Line 3-1)

B's

None

C's

# 1 Activated (ML 12-1)
# 6 Offshore (ML 4-1)
# 8 Iwobi (ML 9-2)
# 9 Pacific Coast Hwy (ML 7-2)

None of the Also Eligibles draw in; so scratch # 11 Bourque (ML 5-2); # 12 Hogan (ML 20-1); # 13 Sergio (ML 4-1); and # 14 Mizzen Me (ML 4-1)

All the experienced runners in this field were on The Also Eligible List; so with their removal, this becomes a contest on the turf for juveniles, not just trying grass for the first time, but also making their career debuts.

Now the easiest way to handle such a challenge would be to just hit the "ALL" button; and when all is said and done, that may also prove to have been the wisest way to handle the challenge.  But going the "ALL" route in a ten horse field in a Pick Four means either tossing out legitimate contenders in the subsequent legs, or completely blowing your bankroll; neither of which I'm prepared to do, certainly not on the Saturday of a three day weekend.

Lyrical Passage was sired by Unbridled's Song, whose progeny tend to do well at first asking, as well as on the turf.  Lyrical Passage is trained by Simon Callaghan, who tends to do well when sending out runners for their debuts; well enough to be in the black as far as ROI.  Lyrical Passage shows no significant breaks in his training schedule going back to mid-July.  Lyrical Passage will be ridden today by Rafael Bejarano.

Activated was sired by Medaglia d'Oro; but the concern with Activated is the break in training for almost all of July.  Offshore was sired by Exchange Rate; but the concern is that Offshore is trained by Neil Drysdale, whose runners don't often win at first asking.  Iwobi was sired by Distorted Humor; but the concern is that Iwobi is trained by Carla Gaines, who is not having a good meet.  Pacific Coast Hwy, the "other" Callaghan, missed approximately three weeks of training after his workout of July 31.

Obviously, I think that the above four runners that we are using as "C" Selections have a legitimate chance to win today; otherwise they would not be on our tickets at all.  But I think Lyrical Passage's chances today are significantly greater than theirs; enough so, in fact, to make Lyrical Passage a single on our big ticket; a decision which, not so incidentally, allows us to go deep in the other legs in this sequence.  Is that the right move?  Well, we'll find out soon enough.

RACE 9 - The Del Mar Debutante (Grade 1) - Seven Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 4 Champagne Room (ML 2-1)

B's

# 1 Miss Southern Miss (ML 8-1)
# 2 Morganite (ML 7-2)
# 3 American Cleopatra (ML 5-2)
# 5 Noted and Quoted (ML 7-2)

C's

None

Champagne Room has worked well since her victory in the Sorrento.  Miss Southern Miss, second to Champagne Room in the Grade 2 Sorrento, has yet to finish out of the Exacta despite a couple of rough starts.

Morganite won her debut last time out, crossing the wire more than a length in front of Champagne Room.  American Cleopatra and Noted and Quoted, both trained by Bob Baffert, were daylight winners last time out.  American Cleopatra appears to be the quicker of the two in their morning works; but the decision to remove the hood from American Cleopatra for her second career start is a rather curious one (though it is a move with which Baffert often succeeds).

RACE 10 - OC 80k/N1X - Eight and a Half Furlongs Turf

A’s

# 2 Spanish Hombre (ML 8-1)
# 8 Annie's Candy (ML 6-1)

B’s

# 3 It's The Ice (GB) (ML 8-1)
# 7 Fabozzi (ML 8-1)

C's

# 1 Rye (ML 6-1)
# 5 Unapologetic (ML 15-1)
# 6 Tribal Fighter (ML 9-2)
# 12 Mittersill (Ire) (ML 7-2)

Scratch # 9 Diplodocus (ML 12-1) and # 14 Materialistic (ML 10-1).  Bring in # 13 Nuke Laloosh (ML 10-1) off The Also Eligible List.

Spanish Hombre and Annie's Candy were within a half length of each other and within two lengths of the winner at the wire last time out, at this class level.  That was the first try routing on the turf course for both Spanish Hombre and Annie's Candy.

It's The Ice (GB) shows a steadily improving form.  Fabozzi took the Show at this approximate class level last time out.

Rye and Unapologetic are both moving up in class; but their recent form suggests that they may fit here.  Tribal Fighter tries the grass for the first time; Trainer Richard Baltas tends to do well with such.  Mittersill (Ire), making his North American debut, has had only one truly bad outcome in his five career starts.

RACE 11 - Md $20k - Seven Furlongs Dirt

A’s

# 3 Picture Tube (ML 5-2)
# 10 Paythebank (ML 6-1)

B's

# 2 Awesome Image (ML 5-1)
# 5 Bernardjfortunato (ML 12-1)
# 6 Little Mustard (ML 6-1)
# 9 Gavin Streetsense (ML 12-1)

C's

# 7 Money Makin Mike (ML 8-1)

Scratch the Also Eligibles, # 13 Hunting You (ML 20-1) and # 14 Iowa Tiger (ML 10-1)

Picture Tube, trained by Bob Baffert, drops in for a tag for the first time.  Paythebank drops in for the lowest tag of his career.  Awesome Image missed graduation by just a neck at this class level last time out.

Bernardjfortunato took the Show against more expensive two starts back, and the Place in the start before that.  Little Mustard has taken the Place twice in his last three races at this class level.  Gavin Streetsense disappointed as the Post Time Favorite against more expensive last time out.  Money Makin Mike took the Show at this class level last time out.

OK, that's the analysis.  Playing our tickets in Crist fashion, we get:

All A Entries

$1.00 P4: 7 with 4 with 2,8 with 3,10 $4.00

All A Entries with All B Entries

$0.50 P4: 7 with 1,2,3,4,5 with 2,3,7,8 with 2,3,5,6,9,10 $60.00

A's with One C

$0.50 P4: 1,6,8,9 with 4 with 2,8 with 3,10 $8.00
$0.50 P4: 7 with 4 with 1,5,6,12 with 3,10 $4.00
$0.50 P4: 7 with 4 with 2,8 with 7 $1.00

Total: $77.00

Post Time for Race 8 is 8:29 EDT / 5:29 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Jimbo
