Race 7 - # 3 Chaulk O Lattey (Final Odds 2.90*) - "B" Selection
Race 8 - The San Diego - # 6 Catch a Flight (Arg) (3.20) - "C" Selection
Race 9 - # 2 Micks Miracle (1.60*) - "A" Selection
Race 10 - # 2 Foolish Ways (Ire) (11.30) - "A" Selection
Our play got off to an ominous beginning when our single "A" Selection in the Opening Leg, # 9 Sweet as a Rose (3.70), dumped Jockey Drayden Van Dyke off her back as soon as she left the gate. And sure enough, we wound up having one of those days, a day where we had all the winners, but not all on any one ticket. It's the type of day that can lead you into an awful lot of second guessing: What if Sweet as a Rose hadn't dumped her rider? Why didn't we use Favorite Chaulk O Lattey as an "A"? Why didn't we have more faith in Micks Miracle, who won by the length of the stretch, and drop a lot of our backups in Race 9? But, as always, the best thing to do after such a day is just turn the page and say:
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 3 / 6 / 2 / 2 were rewarded with a payout of $402.25 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
Peace and Love,
Jimbo
