Well, if your big ticket single is going to lose, it might as well be to the longest odds on the board. Such was the case in the opening leg of Tuesday's sequence, as # 3 Rolling Mo (0.80*), who I had used solo on my main ticket, could do no better than third, getting to the line approximately a length and a quarter after Troll Crossing had already made her first try over a synthetic surface a winning one. And that length and a quarter was all that it took to make Tuesday a day for me to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 8 / 8 / 5 / 6 were rewarded with a payout of $7,422.35 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
