Back in June of 2012 I suggested adding Gypsy Friday to the watch list, based upon her performance in this race in which she was twice steadied, but still managed to improve her position in the stretch. Well, Saturday, in Race 3 at BHP, Gypsy Friday made her first start since that one over twelve months ago.
Breaking from Post 7, Gypsy Friday (Final Odds 12.50) moved into the second spot at the top of the stretch and took the Place behind Flatter Thecowgirl (10.70). Gypsy Friday paid $10.00 for Place and $5.80 for Show, while the Flatter Thecowgirl / Gypsy Friday Quinella returned $112.60 for a $2.00 bet.
