Sometimes luck isn't just on your side, it's sitting in your lap and holding you tight. Thanks in no small part to a fortuitously named friend, as well as a finish so close it would be criminal to make someone live off the difference, Saturday was a day for me to collect instead of contribute.
For the record, here are the $0.50 Will Pays for the other six runners to which I would have cashed in the nightcap:

But that's what might have been. What actually came to be was a correct Late Pick Four sequence of 7 / 1 / 10 / 6 which paid $875.15 for a fifty cent wager. That makes for a profit of $793.15 on my initial $82 investment, or approximate odds of 9.67-1.
