Having the winner pay over twenty dollars for a two buck "Win" wager is exactly what you hope for when you hit the "ALL" button, as we did in The Californian. However, having the single on your big ticket finish out of the money (as # 4 Agustina de Aragon (1.00*) did in the opening leg). or completely whiffing on the winner in a leg in which you went four deep (as happened to us in Race 8) are things that are pretty much the exact opposite of what you hope for when you punch your tickets. Add it all up, and today was a day for us to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 2 / 5 / 3 / 10 were rewarded with a payout of $2,593.20 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
