We couldn't have asked for a better start to the sequence, as our single "A" in the opening leg, Koukla, won her debut by over two lengths over # 7 Gouyen (5.10) who in turn was five lengths clear for Place. But it all came apart in the next leg, as Jockey Rafael Bejarano wrapped up the last ever riding title at Hollywood Park with his fourth winner on the day by bringing home Ashley's Bambino. California Chrome won the last ever stakes at Hollywood Park by over a half dozen lengths, while the final finale at BHP / HOL went to Woodmans Luck, who won the photo over # 11 Depreciable (4.40).
So not one of our better efforts, as we only got one "A" selection to cross the wire ahead of the rest of the field; which means that our Late Pick Four play results in a Net Loss of $60.00.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who played the correct Pick Four sequence of 8 / 8 / 8 / 5 were rewarded with a payout of $751.75 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
