Could not have asked for a better setup going into the finale, with "A" Contenders winning the first three legs, two of whom were not the Post Time Favorite. For the record, the Will Pays for the five horses we were alive to in the last leg:

But while we were in excellent shape heading into the final race, it would be wrong to say that we came close to cashing in. None of our five horses finished in the money; and, had I gone deeper in the final leg, I would have incorporated Place horse # 7 Big Rosie Brown (7.90) and Show horse # 3 Chicago Angel (7.80) into my play before I would have gotten around to adding the winner, Warrens Lil Margie, to my tickets. And since the Super High Five went unhit, I feel that I was not alone in not having a good handle on this one.
So we had some fun and we got a lot of action out of our play, but the bottom line is that all our Late Pick Four Tickets bite the dust, resulting in a Net Loss of $70.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who played the correct Pick Four sequence of 10 / 5 / 7 / 9 were rewarded with a payout of $243.85 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
