The day began promisingly enough, as we got our big ticket single home in the opening leg to kick off the sequence. However, it seems pretty clear in retrospect that today was destined to be a day of heartache, perhaps best symbolized by the head-bobbing defeat of our "A" Selection # 6 John Paul's Bet (1.30*) in the third leg. We were oh so close, yet oh so far; because we had 'em all, but not all on any one ticket; which means that we collect just as much as if we hadn't had any.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Golden Pick Six sequence of 4 / 3 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 1 were rewarded with a payout of $2,765.28 for their twenty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
