Saturday Chantal Sutherland, to the surprise of virtually no one, rode Game On Dude (Final Odds 0.4-1) to victory in the 73rd running of the Hollywood Gold Cup Handicap. So a little over three months after becoming the first female jockey to ride in the Dubai World Cup, and one year after becoming the first female rider to compete in this race, Ms Sutherland becomes the first female jockey to win the Hollywood Gold Cup. Congratulations to Chantel, and best wishes for continued success.
