Congrats to Jockey Edwin Maldonado, who picked up career Win number one thousand by guiding Nite Delite home in the finale. Our day was significantly less successful than his. We completely whiffed on our "A" Selections; and we went five deep in both Race 7 and Race 9 only to have no part of the winner in either (though, in fairness to us, we did lose forty percent of our selections in Race 7 to late scratches, as # 2 Pay the Fine and 10 My Friend Emma both decided to bolt during the Post Parade).
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 6 / 6 / 4 / 8 were rewarded with a payout of $1,375.30 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
