5/15/15 Pimlico All-Stakes Pick Four - Results

Race 8 - The Miss Preakness - # 9 Irish Jasper (Final Odds 5.00) - "A" Selection
Race 9 - The Jim McKay Turf Sprint - # 3 Ben's Cat (2.10*) - "B" Selection
Race 10 - The DuPont Distaff - # 2 Stopchargingmaria (0.60*) - "A" Selection
Race 11 - The Black-Eyed Susan - # 9 Keen Pauline (15.40) - No Selection

Keen Pauline, who had never before in her five prior career races had the lead at first call (nor, for that matter, at second call; nor for that matter, at third call) jumped to the front of the field right out of the gate, walked in front of the other eight entrants to the tune of an opening half covered in 49.09, and was never headed, crossing the wire two and three quarter lengths in front of her nearest rival, with the four runners we covered occupying positions two-through-five (inclusive) in the final order of finish.

Oh well; onto the next race.

For the record, here are the $0.50 Will Pays for the four runners to which we were alive in the finale, in the order in which they crossed the finish line:

# 5 Include Betty (4.90) - $140.90

# 3 Ahh Chocolate (4.10) - $139.05

# 1 Danessa Deluxe (4.60) - $133.70

# 8 Luminance (1.30*) - $64.80

But such was not to be.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of  9 / 3 / 2 / 9  were rewarded with a payout of $665.30 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo
