As we did yesterday, we had all the winning odds-on favorites on our ticket. As we didn't yesterday, we also had all the winning non-favorites as well. Granted, none of the winning non-favorites were kind enough today to go off at double-digit prices; but you'll hear no complaining in these quarters, as we're more than happy to take what the game is giving us.
For the record, here are the fifty cent Will Pays for the other three runners to which we were alive in Race 5:
# 2 Tiz Josselyn (4.00) - $198.90 Finish: 6th
# 3 Perdona (7.20) - $266.25 Finish: 5th
# 8 Girl Downstairs (5.80) - $183.40 Finish: 3rd
But that's what might have been. The actual Pick Five sequence of 5 / 3 / 5 / 10 / 7 paid $118.50 for a fifty cent wager. Which, granted, ain't much, as we collect on our initial wager at approximate odds of 4-5. But cashing tickets sure beats trashing them; and like my close personal friend Sully likes to say, nobody ever went broke cashing tickets.
