We had Forest Chatter; but then again, so did everyone else. We had the Place horse on our big ticket in the three legs we missed; but that's really small consolation. We also got to see what may be the start of a great career, as first time starter Stringent made a huge move around the turn and into the stretch to win the finale. As Stringent is sired by Lemon Drop Kid, it stands to reason that he should only get better as he stretches out from today's distance of five and a half furlongs. But that's information that may help us in the future; as for our play today, it was pretty much beyond help.
Oh well; onto the next race.
