We went three deep in the second leg of the sequence, only to see our runners finish 2nd, 3rd, and 4th behind the Phil D'Amato trained winner. I had discounted Blessherheart because in her two prior starts on dirt she had failed to get within eight lengths of the winner at the wire; but when she crossed the wire today three quarters of a length in front of both # 8 Paschalitsa (1.50*) and # 7 Casino Fever (2.70) it became a day for us to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 3 / 3 / 6 / 4 were rewarded with a payout of $354.10 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
