We thought in our preview that the final leg of the sequence was an extremely competitive affair, and having it end in a Dead Heat would seem to justify that assessment. Unfortunately our assessments of the initial two legs of the sequence were significantly less justified, as we had no part of either winner, despite using more than half the field in each contest; thus making this a day for us to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 4 / 7 / 1 / 4, 8 were rewarded with a payout of $94.55 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
