I totally whiffed on Rainbow Squall, the winner of the initial leg of the sequence. The four year old gelding by City Zip was nowhere to be found on any of my tickets, as he picked up career victory number two in his twenty-third contest. And that was all it took to make Saturday a day for me to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 1 / 8 / 2 / 7 were rewarded with a payout of $165.90 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
