9/28/13 Belmont Park All-Grade 1 Stakes Pick Four - The Play

Alright, here's the Pick Four strategy I'll be using today.  I'm figuring the first leg, The Vosburgh, to probably be chaos; the next two to be formful; and the final leg (The Jockey Club Gold Cup) to also be formful, but with a heavy possibility of chaos.  Anyway, that's the strategy; here's how it looks in ticket form:

Play this one for a dollar:

RACE 7: 1

RACE 8: 1

RACE 9: 2

RACE 10: 6

Cost: $1.00

Play this one also for a dollar:

RACE 7: ALL

RACE 8: 1

RACE 9: 2

RACE 10: 6

Cost: $7.00

Play these for fifty cents:

RACE 7: ALL

RACE 8: 2, 3

RACE 9: 2

RACE 10: 6

Cost: $7.00

RACE 7: ALL

RACE 8: 1

RACE 9: 4, 5

RACE 10: 6

Cost: $7.00

RACE 7: ALL

RACE 8: 1

RACE 9: 2

RACE 10: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8

Cost: $24.50

Total Cost: $46.50

If # 1A Laughing (in The Flower Bowl) and # 2 Big Blue Kitten (in The Turf Classic) run to form, then we've got it, because we've got all bases covered in the other two legs.  But if either of those two fail (along with their entry mates) then we need # 6 Flat Out to win The Jockey Club Gold Cup for the third year in a row (presuming, of course, that we caught the winner with our backups in whichever of the two middle races that the expected favorite failed).

Post Time for Race 7 is 4:13 EDT / 1:13 PDT.  Good luck to all.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo
