1/26/14 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 9 Diversy Harbor (Final Odds 5.50) - No Selection
Race 7 - # 1 Chelios (1.50*) - "A" Selection
Race 8 - The Clocker's Corner - # 7 Lakerville (8.80) - "C" Selection
Race 9 - # 1 Fit to Rule (6.80) - No Selection

We rolled the dice with our single "A" in the opening leg and we crapped out, as # 3 Divine Way (3.90) raced mid-pack throughout, never getting involved in the outcome; though she did beat Post Time Favorite # 11 Pragmatical (2.20*) to the wire by almost two lengths.  Race 7 was a nice reminder of what a formful race looks like, as our three "A" selections filled out a Trifecta that paid $31.30 for a buck.  Lakerville is now a perfect two-for-two charging down the hill; while the finale saw our six selections occupy positions number two through seven inclusive in the final order of finish for the eleven horse field.

So our day ended quickly without much suspense, as our play died early; much, much too early.  There were no real surprises in the sequence, as all winners were haveable; the problem was, we didn't have them.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who played the correct Pick Four sequence of  9 / 1 / 7 / 1  were rewarded with a payout of $819.05 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo
