We had hoped that # 1 Condition (8.60 ) would be speed on the rail in the finale; but that did not come to pass, as he could not make the lead and soon quit (incidentally, the first four finishers in that last race were all first time starters). We also had no part of the NJ bred in the opening leg who was speed on the rail, as Backstreet Lisa was never headed in her victory. We were correct in our preference for Unblunted and # 6 Kantune (3.00) in Race 7, as those two came running late to form an Exacta that paid $49 for a buck; but the bottom line is that you need to connect four winners to cash, and we failed to do that today.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 1 / 7 / 4 / 4 were rewarded with a payout of $3,944.40 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
