While we could blame our loss today on the racing luck that sometimes allows for a 33-1 shot to hit the wire first, that would be more than a little disingenuous on our part; as the fact is that we totally whiffed on the second leg of today's sequence, failing to find room on our tickets for any of the runners that filled out that contest's Superfecta.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 9 / 8 / 5 / 12 were rewarded with a payout of $986.25 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
