Jockey Drayden Van Dyke, who has been lights out in stakes when teamed with Trainer John Sadler this meet, showed the benefits of avoiding traffic in Sunday's Torrey Pines; as True Royalty simply went wide throughout, bypassing all the roughhousing that occurred on the inside, and thus easily winning by over three lengths. Unfortunately for me, congestion considerations did not factor into my handicapping of this contest, so Sunday became a day for me to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 8 / 9 / 11 / 12 were rewarded with a payout of $247.75 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
