No Ez Money did take to the Del Mar surface, and was speed on the rail, leading the pack by three and a half lengths in the stretch; but he could not hold on, as Chattering Class, for the first time in his ten race career, passed multiple horses, closing from tenth to catch No Ez Money at the wire to win by a neck, and turn all our tickets into trash.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 5 / 9 / 9 / 12 were rewarded with a payout of $719.10 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
