4/19/15 Santa Anita Late Pick Four - Results

Race 6 - # 9 Dr. Fager's Gal (Final Odds 4.30) - "B" Selection
Race 7 - The San Simeon - # 1 Get Happy Mister (12.60) - No Selection
Race 8 - # 7 Maria Hooch (2.20) - No Selection
Race 9 - # 4 Desiresoftheheart (2.20*) - "B" Selection

Today's sequence is a good one to keep in mind the next time you hear an analyst say that horses with experience on the downhill turf course have an edge.  Get Happy Mister, the shipper from Arapahoe Park, was successful in his turf debut today, winning the Grade 3 San Simeon over a pair of runners (# 2 Home Run Kitten (2.20*) and # 8 Sweet Swap (3.60)) who were prior Graded Stakes winners charging down the hill; while Desiresoftheheart won the finale in her overall debut, defeating several who had prior experience navigating the downhill course.  As for our play, we had a sandwich result, with "B"read on the ends but no meat in the middle.

Oh well; onto the next race.

Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of  9 / 1 / 7 / 4  were rewarded with a payout of $1,688.25 for their fifty cent wager.  May God bless them as they spend their winnings.

Peace and Love,

Jimbo
