The public thought more highly of Newfound Gold's chances than we did, making him the Post Time Favorite in the finale. As it turned out, the public was right, as Newfound Gold found his way to the Winner's Circle for the seventh time in his last eight races, hitting the wire a neck in front of # 6 My Secret Affair (12.60). Anyway, all that was moot as far as our play was concerned, as all our Pick Four tickets turned into trash right in the opening leg, as we had no part of Jeremy's Legacy, who won her North American debut by as many as she pleased.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 11 / 3 / 11 / 4 were rewarded with a payout of $424.40 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
