We started well and ended well; but in-between, not so well. I didn't pick Oligarch to repeat because I didn't think he'd be able to set the pace again today; but when # 10 Power Jam (0.60*) bobbled at the start Oligarch was able to lead the pack early and then hold on to win the photo at the end. And I didn't anticipate that today, in her nineteenth career start, My Monet would get her first stakes win, crossing the wire a half length in front of # 1 Kiss At Midnight (3.80).
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 3 / 5 / 5 / 3 were rewarded with a payout of $184.45 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
