Not a good job of handicapping on our part, as we used five runners in the opening leg and then another four in The Malibu just to find the Post Time Favorite in each. However, despite our errors, we didn't miss cashing by much, as one of our two "A" Selections in The La Brea, # 2 Hot City Girl (3.50) was two lengths clear in the stretch, only to get caught by the winner in the shadow of the wire. But close doesn't get it done, and we find ourselves today trashing our tickets instead of cashing them.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 10 / 1 / 4 / 11 were rewarded with a payout of $209.65 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
