The last time Unusual Taste competed against # 2 Rye Patch (1.40*), Rye Patch led the field all the way around the track to the wire, with Unusual Taste pressing him most of the way from second before finishing fourth. Today looked like it was going to be a replay of that outing, right up until the point where Rye Patch faded and Unusual Taste ran right by him to win the third leg of Saturday's sequence. So while our big ticket contained every other winner in Saturday's sequence, not using Unusual Taste in our play made this a day for us to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
