On March 26, in a shared contest in which all three were making their career debut, Silken Chief had finished fourth behind Place horse Regal Born and Show horse Elegant Tanner. Saturday, Silken Chief turned the tables on those two rivals, crossing the wire a little over a length in front of Place horse # 6 Regal Born (3.10) and three lengths in front of fourth place finisher # 3 Elegant Tanner (2.40*). Not anticipating that turnaround, as well as failing to use Become an Insider on our big ticket, made this a day for us to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Golden Pick Six sequence of 5 / 5 / 7 / 3 / 7 / 9 were rewarded with a payout of $801.36 for their twenty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
