I had placed my hopes in the opening leg on the experienced entrants; but it was debut runner Night At the Opera who proved much the best. Meanwhile, the finale saw me landing on the wrong Kitten's Joy progeny, as Kitten's Royal achieved his first career turf victory in his fifth try on the grass, while "A" Selection # 5 Kittenmeister (3.00) could do no better than fourth. So for the second day this weekend my "A" Selections managed to avoid the Winner's Circle, making Sunday another day for me to contribute instead of collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 6 / 6 / 5 / 8 were rewarded with a payout of $391.65 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
