My big ticket single, # 4 Insta Erma (1.10*) had the lead in the stretch in The Megahertz, but was passed in the final strides by # 3 Madame Stripes (Arg), and had to settle for the Place, a length and a quarter behind the winner. And that length and a quarter was the difference Monday between collecting and contributing, as the other three winners were all to be found on the big ticket.
Oh well; onto the next race.
