When you completely whiff on half the sequence, you know it wasn't a good day. With the benefit of twenty / twenty hindsight, a decent case could be made to have included Overcomer in my play based on the class drop. On the other hand, Mongolian Shopper is a much harder find, as typically those whose success comes primarily from one turn sprints tend to run out of gas before the wire when charging down the Santa Anita hill. But Mongolian Shopper had no problems with stamina Sunday, leading the field down the hill and pulling away in the stretch to win the second leg.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 8 / 2 / 8 / 10 were rewarded with a payout of $650.95 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
