League of Shadows has shown good early speed in each of his first two contests. Gio's Gold could move up with a cleaner break. Kaboom showed good early speed in his debut last time out; but that was back in April. On the other hand, Trainer Steve Miyadi has chosen to keep Kaboom at Santa Anita rather than shipping him upstate to Golden Gate; so that must mean something.
Magical More took the Place against more expensive over this main track three starts back. Mintenized could improve going third off the layoff. Call Me Soul is a first time starter, and he deserves consideration primarily because none of the experienced runners in this field were able to find their way into the Trifecta last time out. You know what? Let's just go "ALL" on the big ticket for this leg, because it's clear that I have no handle on who is going to win this contest.

Goodwood Mirage (Ire) has finished in the Trifecta in two of his last three starts, against classier competition. Oscar Domingues (Ire) was victorious the last time that he competed at this class level.
Lifeline could improve off the layoff with the return to the lawn. Van Cortlandt was victorious the last time that he raced at today's distance. Temple Keys has proven to be competitive at this class level.
RACE 8 - Clm $10k - Six and a Half Furlongs Dirt

Airfoil goes first off the claim for Trainer Steve Knapp, who tends to do well with such. Top Brass, trained by David Jacobson, drops in class off a victory against more expensive, which suggests that Top Brass may not be the horse today that he was a month ago.
Stoneys Mr Cruiser looks quickest here; though it fair to wonder if Stoneys Mr Cruiser can last 'til the wire. Finallygotabentley and Karma King filled out the Exacta last time out at approximately this class level ($12.5k vs $10k).
RACE 9 - (F) Clm $20k - Eight Furlongs Turf

Like Top Brass in the previous contest (above) Salsita (trained by Jerry Hollendorfer) is dropping in for a cheaper price tag after having defeated classier foes last time out. That's a pretty good sign that Salsita isn't the same horse that she was when she got her picture taken last time out. But even at less than one hundred percent, Salsita looks like the one to beat here.
Ryder's Starlight took the Show against more expensive last time out. Miss Boom Boom goes first off the claim for Trainer Doug O'Neill, who tends to do well with such. Gift of a Star looks quickest here. Scattagirl gets some much needed class relief.
