Looking for chaos in the incorrect leg of the sequence was what doomed my Late Pick Four play Saturday; as the nightcap (in which I had gone "ALL") proved to be the opposite of competitive, with the Post Time Favorite winning by a comfortable margin; while the third leg, the Grade 1 Gamely, produced the upset winner. Of course, while the above was a tragic error, it need not have been a fatal error; for had Place finisher and "B" Selection # 1 Madam Dancealot (Ire) gotten to the wire just a bit sooner in the Gamely, I would have collected instead of contributed Saturday. How close did I come to collecting? That close.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Late Pick Four sequence of 6 / 2 / 4 / 7 were rewarded with a payout of $357.10 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
