We failed to appreciate just how great an early speed advantage Analog Girl had over her rivals in the opening leg today, as she was never challenged at any point in the race by any of the other entrants. Analog Girl breezed home to an easy victory, looking much more like an odds-on favorite than a 16-1 longshot. And while we did use Analog Girl in our play we did not have her on our big ticket, and for that reason today was our day to contribute rather than collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 5 / 7 / 1 / 11 were rewarded with a payout of $326.50 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
