We got some things right in The San Gabriel. For example, we were right to be concerned about whether or not # 8 Obviously (Ire) (2.50*) would make the full nine furlongs; though he did give it a very game effort, missing victory by only a neck. We were also right to be concerned about # 2 Big John B (4.10) having enough distance to run his best race. But # 10 Chiropractor (4.30), our "A" Selection, just didn't have it today; and if you had given me a year to study the Past Performances, I still wouldn't have found a legitimate reason to use Flamboyant (Fr) on our tickets.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 2 / 8 / 1 / 4 were rewarded with a payout of $13,462.30 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
