We started well and ended well; but we failed to connect on the middle portion of the sequence. Havanna Belle (Ire) had finished eighth her last time out behind two of the runners in today's field; perhaps the added distance was all that she needed. Nine Point Nine had finished over eight lengths behind # 9 Pico Chick (1.80*) in their last contest prior to today; perhaps the shortened distance was all that she needed. As for us, all that we needed was to have those two winners on our tickets; but we did not, so for that reason today was our day to contribute rather than collect.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 6 / 3 / 7 / 2 were rewarded with a payout of $248.15 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
